Oh I loathe Joffery. They casting was perfect there. That kid can act like a horrible ass, and his face is odd to me which adds to the whole effect. *Also of note, and I'm sure I'm just repeating something someone else has said somewhere in a previous incarnation of this thread, that actor was the little kid that Batman gave his periscope gadget to in the Narrows in Batman Begins.

We are SIX days away from the start of filming of season2 . Where are all the casting news!

This guy really does die in everything he's in....

See, this is exactly why a lot of people really hate me, it's not so much that I act like a horrible ass as much as my face looks like one.

I thought Ned was the "main" character of Game of Thrones. Most of the storylines related to him in some way and his death is the climax of the book which leads to everything in the later novels.
Given how the show was presented, Ned is a main character of the series.

This is not the case in the books. Ned is not the main character of AGoT, nor is he a main character of the series. Even Martin has admitted this. There's a great quote where he's asked by an interviewer why he kills off his main characters. He responds with a question of his own: "Which main characters have I killed off?" The first on the list is Ned, of course, to which Martin's reply is that people need to take a look at how "main character" is defined.

GRRM - the bastard's bastard of choice. :awesome:

I didn't say that...what I said was that the Emmys aren't going to nominate a midget for a LEAD actor emmy....much less let him win it

Congratulations, you've just said the stupidest thing I've heard all day.

You really think the Emmys would not do something like that?

I wouldn't put it past them. :o

the Emmys and the Oscars are about projecting an image....its about paying favors back and politics

Peter Dinklage could give the kind of performance that makes men weep and women pregnant merely by watching it and he won't get recognized for more than a supporting actor because he doesn't fit the 'image'

Jon Hamm could take a dump for 40 minutes and theyll toss him an Emmy or Golden Globe every year because he DOES fit the image

I stand corrected, this is the stupidest think I've heard all day.

Anyways, my thoughts of the subject...

If Dinklage is being nominated for a best supporting actor role then he could easily be nominated for a lead role, the funny thing about GOT is that every actor seems like a supporting actors, they act great but there isn't really a "main" character.

It's stupid and ignorant to believe that the Emmy's will never nominate a little person for a lead.

To be fair to BL, he's not saying that they shouldn't. He's saying that they won't.

And you know what? He's probably right.

Either way, it's an ignorant thing to say considering the people behind the Emmy's nominate Dinklage, when they easily could have nominated someone else.

I don't think GOT will ever get a lead actor nod ... because there is no such person.

Haha, I did not know this was an HBO show! I thought it was Showtime or something else, I'll have to check it out very soon given it's getting good reviews and belongs to the fantasy genre.

Also want to read the books. I've heard numerous people even say they surpass Lord of the Rings.

I just finished watching the entire first season and wow. My favorite new series of the year. Im actually tempted to go and read the books now.

Love Daenryus and her arc. I like how she great and really took control of her destiny. Best moment was ordering the death of her spineless brother, who I couldnt stand. I liked her and Drogo together and its a shame he's gone

Totally was absolutely shocked by Ned's death. Considering he came across as arguably the main protagonist, I didnt think he'd be killed off like that. I'll miss him and how horrifying that his daughters had to witness that

Part of me wants to feel bad for Sansa but the other part says she deserves what she gets. Hated how thirsty she was for the throne and now its not quite what she though it would be. Joffrey is quite the bastard. I really hate that kid

Cat's sister is beyond creepy as his her relationship with Robin. Its like her husband died and she married her son. That little boy is a weirdo and completely twisted. He's gonna have problems when he grows up

Also Arya rocks. She might be my favorite character. Love her fire and fierceness. I also like her brother Rob as he looks to be a major player next season. Cant wait!

nice choices for both parts...I really thought it would have beena big name for Stannis. But I am hoping they cast Davos as a big name actor then

Van Houten looks good for Melisandre (and in general). Dillane will probably be a good Stannis, but he doesn't look it in that picture.

I wonder who the former Camelot actor will be.
