Kind of worried about Tarkin being CGI. Usually it looks really jarring (looking at you Jeff Bridges in Tron: Legacy) but it's been pulled off well too (Furious 7).

Just out of curiosity, would you rather Tarkin be recast, or be CGI?

Recast. IMO Charles Dance would have been a PERFECT replacement.

What they did with Michael Douglas at the beginning of Ant-Man was nothing short of amazing. That said, Pygram is a perfectly acceptable alternative.

I don't think this kinda makeup thing would hold up in a feature, but who knows. They may go that route.

Oh yeah I totally forgot about that as well. In fact, my mom actually thought that he got a face lift.

True, but that was one scene. Whether that'd translate well over an entire film is another matter entirely. They tried it with Jeff Bridges as Clu in Tron Legacy, and the results were mixed at best.

If they only need Tarkin to appear as a hologram or on a screen, then I suppose they could get away with using Cushing's image. But if he's going to really interact with other characters, they should recast.

I honestly thought Mendelsohn was gonna be recast as Tarkin for some reason. My memory of Cushing's original Tarkin was very hazy and I could for some reason see Mendelsohn as a younger Grand Moff Tarkin.

But hell yeah to the Charles Dance suggestion from above. Tywin was by far one of my favorite characters from GoT and I would love to see Charles Dance join an already impressive cast.

One of these things is not like the other.

Pinpointed all the actors, Rebels, dead Troopers, everyone else is extras, make up, film crew, pyro-tec guys, fire dept. etc.

Except.......... near that black tent, one creepy dude in a full head to toe, black robe?
It's not a jacket like many have on, he/she/it is fully covered, head to toe? And kind of separate from all the other actors.

Close up dead center. Nothing else like him anywhere...
