I doubt you poor sods in the US get this, it's one of the last great pieces of television the UK has produced in forever.

It's a spoof horror comedy series and it's fantastic. It sends up the 1970 and 80's horror genre. It even has it's own back story. It's not presented as a fake t.v. show, Garth Marenghi is not a real writer but is presented as such....Im not explaining it very well, but it's definitly worth catching. Check out his website (written as the character).

Oh dear god, it's fantastic and thankfully a good portion is on youtube! Just absolutely hilarious, I loved the way the hospital which was over the gates of hell was situated in Romford! :woot:

I love the one Track Lover single :D

Thornton is the best, along with Sanchez.

Scotch Mist is the best episode by far.

I only ever saw the first ep, thought it was ok but nothing special. My mate raved on about it and kept building it up, so it felt like a bit of a letdown in the end.

Did anyone see Man To Man With Dean Lerner on channel 4? The first ep had Garth Merenghi on then. Nice spoof of an interview.

Honestly, I thought it was rubbish. My hopes were high since it was a semi- follow up to Dark Place, but it kinda sucked :(

I didn't mind it. Granted in places it was a little tiresome, but it had some decent lines in it.

I watched it after rave recommendations. I did enjoy it, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

I don't remember much of the series, but it did used to tickle me. I seem to remember an episode where one of the nurses developed telekinetic powers. Definately one of the more memorable episodes for me.

Pick it up on dvd, it's worth it...they even have commentaries in
character :D

I picked up the DVD after seeing a few clips and finding it quite funny, plus I like the guys from the mighty boosh and such anyway. The commentaries to me are funnier than the show. :D I loved the little snipes from Sanchez (?) about the quality of the show and money he is owed. Great. :)

Yeah it is classic....Sanchez is obviously really still bitter.

I downloaded and watched the show after a recommendation of a friend, and I was surprised to find how much I enjoyed the show. All the terrible 80's production value gags, the continuity errors, were spot on.

Anybody got any other British comedies to recommend?

It was great and too bad that sci fi showed every episode already. I love the eye baby episode.
