Fans of the macabre, rejoice: Gary Friedrich , creator of GHOST RIDER, is coming to Star Clipper just before All Hallow's Eve for a Ghost Rider signing and event! Our skulls are burning with anticipation if you know what we mean!!
Gary will be available to sign the following:
  • a limited edition of only 500 posters, $20 each
  • a script of the first page of Amazing Fantasy #5, featuring the first appearance of Ghost Rider with original Michael Ploog artwork, only $5 each
  • Ghost Rider DVD's, comics and books
But wait, there's more: come in and get your picture taken with Gary and GHOST RIDER himself!! That's right, Ghost Rider will be accompanying Gary for his signing and he will arrive in style atop a Doc's Harley-Davidson! Doc's is Missouri's oldest exclusive Harley-Davidson dealer and we are excited to partner with Doc's and Gary Friedrich for this signing event!

A modest fee for picture-taking will apply. Please call 314-725-9110 with questions. Don't miss this one- time supernatural event!

On another note, WTF?

I don't understand how he would be signing DVD's of a movie he is suing. Apparently he is suing almost everybody attached to the Ghost Rider movie:

He filed in East Saint Louis in March:

Gary Friedrich Enterprises, LLC. et al vs Marvel Enterprises, Inc. et al

Plaintiffs: Gary Friedrich Enterprises, LLC. and Gary Friedrich Defendants: Marvel Enterprises, Inc., Marvel Entertainment, Inc., Marvel Studios, Inc., Marvel Characters, Inc., Hasbro, Inc., Take-Two Interactive, Columbia Tri-Star Motion Picture Group, Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc., Crystal Sky Pictures, Relativity Media LLC., Michael De Luca Productions, Inc. and Sony Pictures Entertainment, Inc.

I came back from the Gary Friedrich event and I have to say he has got to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met! The most strangest thing is that he lives only 10 minutes away from me and I had no freakin clue!

I had him sign my Ghost Rider #1, he gave me a limited edition print of Ghost Rider artwork, and a signed autograph accompanying the 1st breakdown for the 1st Ghost Rider comic with Mike Ploog art!

He was so freakin nice, he gave me the latter for free! Man I wish there were some other GR fans in my area this could have been a much bigger event if we let it be. He had no idea about all the fan support but he knew that Ghost Rider fans were definitely the most hardcore fan group there is.

Some good news coming up:

1. He said he would more than HAPPY to do an interview for us fans. I have his email and his agent's info, and we'll organize this very soon.

2. Gary's working on a new comic and he's shopping for a publisher! Older fans rejoice, the comic book will be set in the late 70s!

3. I took a picture with Ghost Rider himself and I'll post those soon!

Thats it for now folks, stay tuned for updates.

MS, if you need a site to host the Friedrich interview, I'll happily offer up Vengeance Unbound as a home and include it with the other creator interviews on the site.

That sounds good, I'll try to send an email out to Gary's agent before the weekend and we'll see where this goes!
