It's where Snoke took Kylo and Hux.

I think Kylo will be redeemed, but I hope it's not through death. I'd rather him get to live on as a better person.
If Kylo is redeemed and lives his ass better be convicted for war crimes, mass murder, crimes against against humanity and various species, treason, torture etc. and he better go to prison.

Kylo deserves his ass to be executed for killing Han Solo, the coolest motherfo in the galaxy.

After killing Han there is no way Kylo can be redeemed imo.

I agree. Plus, it would be repetitive of Vader's end to some extent (and there are still people around who have a problem with Anakin being able to have a Force Ghost, considering he spent 25 years of his life killing children and innocents, partaking in genocides etc).

I think no matter what happens and how depressing it is, Kylo needs to lose what's left of his soul. I like the idea above/from the previous thread, of his having a falling out with Snoke and the FO, becoming an independent Dark Side agent fighting both sides. The only issue is, if Rey ends up being unrelated (which I suspect may be the case, as much as I want her to be Luke's daughter), then that's a pretty depressing end for the Skywalker line.

I wanted him and the then unnamed Snoke to be separate from the FO before we knew so much about TFA, but having them break up could be a more interesting and emotional way of getting there.

What if his lover, Albus Reybledore, has him imprisoned in the very same prison that he himself built for his victims. Until years later, when the series has been spammed to hell and back, a new Dark Lord shows up and demands the Skywalker lightsaber. What about then?

....Though, in all seriousness I'd love it if Kylo Ren became the Rudulf Hess of the First Order. An SW equivilant to Spandau Prison would be pretty cool.

I don't want Kylo to be redeemed he killed his dad and not ever one has to be redeemed like Vader was.

At this point... Yeah I don't want to see Ben Solo get any redemption the way Vader did.

They could inprison Kylo, but how does a Force-user stay inprisoned?

If they don't redeem him, or have him thrown in prison, they could have a final battle between him and Rey and he's left to die (possibly on a ship or tunnel or something that's about to explode or collapse, I guess like Starkiller Base) and Rey takes off to save herself. Or he falls to his death off a bridge or hole (I love falling death scenes for villains for some reason lol). We are under the impression Kylo was killed, but in the second to last scene of the movie, we see him dressed as a beggar, hood and robes, walking through and disappearing in a crowd of people/aliens in some undisclosed city.

Well now we can say that this year VIII comes out!

Also the 40th anniversary of SW!

Disney would be crazy not to rerelease ANH in theaters in May for the 40th anniversary.

It's not "crazy" to not re-release something you don't have the rights to.

FOX retains rights ownership of TPM, AotC, RotS, TESB, and RotJ until 2020, and ANH for all of time.

The only way Disney gets the rights to ANH back is if they pay through the nose.

They have already been working with Disney. The re-releases of the blu-ray in steel books, the new OT packs re-released in 2014 that have ANH with ESB and ROTJ attached. Fox only has one of the films, but they know people see these things as a series. They will work with Disney because it's money for all involved. Fox holding out is not going to do anything for them. Working in unison with Disney for the 40th just as Fox did with LFL back in the mid 90's will likely happen again.

EDIT: Sorry I did forget about the 2020 thing. But the point still stands. They have nothing to lose. They re-released the other 6 films in steelbook right before TFA. They have nothing to lose by re-releasing them. Having them packaged and hyping up VIII with a new theatrical release of the theatrical cuts. That's huge money right there. Fox will not say no to more money. Sitting on the films on the 40th will accomplish nothing.

Also here was last year when all the films except ANH with the digital releases had the 20th Century Fox logo taken out.

I have a feeling they must be talking especially since George told John Landis that LFL and Fox were working on restoring the theatrical cuts. Again, it's money for both.

As far as I know, the 2014 steelbooks were simply a re-release/repackaging of the Complete Saga Blu-ray set that was released in 2011 by FOX and that Disney itself as a company had nothing to do with them.

I could be wrong, though.

They are a re-release of the same stuff. But as I pointed to above the digital re-releases take out the Fox logo on all of them except ANH .But regardless Fox would really have nothing to lose. They may make Disney front a lot of the bill for restoration or whatever, but with the massive hype of Episode VIII coming this year, the 40th anniversary. the insane SW fever that's going on again I just don't see them sitting back and saying "Nah."

I have a feeling they will work to do something for the 40th.

Gareth Edwards has already confirmed that LFL had a 4K restoration done on ANH. He was shown the new restoration while working on Rogue One. That could only happen if Fox allowed it so we know Fox and LFL and Disney are "sharing" ANH even tho Fox has sole ownership.

Yeah I forgot about that. I think we will be seeing something this year.

The theatrical cuts are with me I am one with the theatrical cuts.

I honestly think people are holding their breaths in vain if they're expecting the "original" cuts of ANY of the Star Wars films to be re-released either in theaters or on home media because there just isn't a "market" for such a release.

Of course there is. The limited DVD's released in 2006 that have the theatrical cuts if you want to buy them new it's almost 300 bucks for all three on Ebay. There is a big fanbase and a great demand for them. That and again Landis said that Lucas had told him Disney was working on the theatrical cuts.

Blade Runner released all the cuts back in 2007. It's an excuse to re-package and re-market. "The Theatrical Cuts how the films originally were not seen for 20 years!" Or something like that.

So yes there is a market for it, SW is probably the biggest fandom, and even for many they don't care about the SE release, if they see that ANH or any of the OT is playing again in a theater they will go see it. To see SW on the big screen is always a treat.

They're not going to re-release the original cut of any of the Star Wars films just to cater to the Star Wars fandom. It's far too cost-prohibitive and there's far too much risk of failure involved.

The 2006 DVD releases were released under duress simply to silence the people who wouldn't leave Lucasfilm and George Lucas alone, and the chances of such a re-release happening, especially in a remastered form, is about as likely as Lucas re-purchasing his company from Disney (read: non-existent).
