Ditto. Reading some of ex-Larian devs on the studio yesterday was disheartening.Don't hold your favorite video game companies in too high regard.
Zampella also led an EA studio team based in Playa Vista behind the Battlefield video game franchise.
I haven't played it myself (I don't do MMOs), but noclip did a three part documentary series about the making of the game. There's some pretty extensive engineering that went into designing the machine combat, which seems fairly similar to Shadow of the Colossus. It's the sort of gameplay that I'd be interested in if it was single player.Im so detached from a lot in gaming because i dont get it.
Arc Raider looks like your generic multiplayer game.
I dont get what it does so well to many...but then, im not into these type of games so maybe there are details im missing.
To me it just looks boring.
It's a PvPvE extraction shooter with immersive elements such as physics interaction (shooting a mechanical enemy's leg makes it "walk" wobbly). It also has great audio design that many consider some of the best in video games. The solo playerbase mostly focuses on the PvE aspect so that attracts a lot of players who want to play an extraction shooter but don't necessarily want the "hardcore" experience from other extraction shooters like Tarkov.Im so detached from a lot in gaming because i dont get it.
