Can't wait Kane. t:
I don't know what it is but I'm just not feeling this one, the trailers have felt very bland to me. I also think Forrest Whitaker is coming across horrible in it. Hopefully the film doesn't disappoint, for sure I'll go see it still.
The trailers have been anything but bland. The visuals, the scenery, the music, the sheer scale of it, etc all look amazing.
I'm also not seeing the issue with the acting (and that's ignoring the fact that hokey acting and SW have gone together like peanut butter and jelly from the very beginning). Felicity Jones, not seeing it (also if people could come up with anything other than super-vague generalities it'd be more convincing to me). I like her here, and I'm more interested in her character than some of the others (Cassian seems fun and cool, but also rather typical from what I've seen).
And I'm kind of on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to this vs. TFA. I loved TFA and still do. But a lot of it was "nostalgia: the movie." And I have no problem with that really, but I'm a bit more intrigued by this one because it seems like they're trying some new and different things here.
It's called an OPINION to me it looks bland, all looks abit samey.
Samey to what? Not questioning your opinion, I am just curious what you mean.
I think it looks amazing.
I just feel like almost every outside shot looks like it's in the same place, guess it's the filter or something. The way it's shot too it seems like they keep using the same angles. Also the actors just seem like they're in big groups looking longing. Probably not explaining it very well tbhz
As I've said I'm gonna see this regardless mind but the trailers haven't sold me. But maybe that will be a good feeling.
Did...did we see the same trailer?
Because imo he was acting the living crap out of that scene near the end.
The first trailer left me cold, this trailer made me cry. I think it's fantastic.
No, you explained it just fine.
And I do see what you mean. There are four major locations I can think of. Jedha (the town the Stormies are running), Yavin 4 (the Rebel base), Scarif (the beach planet) and the dark sand planet of Jyn's youth. And while I enjoy the visuals quite a bit, there does not seems to be much distinguishing each place in terms of "color". You mention the filter and reminds me how much brighter Scarif looks in the posters and such compared to the newer trailers.
Just saw the trailer...it gave me lots of vibes. Damn good ones too
Scarif is my new favorite planet
This movie looks amazing. I cannot wait for this movie.
One question: will this movie mention at all they got the plans from Geonosis? They seem to be trying to forget everything prequal associated but it is canon.
Go back to last page and read Darth's comment. They aren't changing anything. They're not messing with the canon or trying to forgetthe PT.
Hmm maybe just me
Thanks, it really provably us just my perception of the trailers. I'm sure when I see the film it'll be good. That Vader shot was great too
And notice the pillars on the left:
Could there be a Jedi temple on Jedha? :
Yeah I liked the prev trailers a lot but this one for whatever reason hit me more emotionally.
Well right now trailers are all we have to go off of, so it is only fair you give your opinion on what they have given us.
And yeah as my new avatar shows, I am quite in love with that Vader shot. t:
Oh man. Looks like this guy gets blasted right in the head!
Jedi Temple ruins sound good to me. Loving the Jedi temples we are starting to explore. First Lothal, now Jedha and soon with Ahch-to. Plus with have the Sith presence on Malachor and Jakku. The Force geek in me is buzzing.
