This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]485365[/split]
They can continue to say it isn't Tatooine, but that is Tatooine. It's not supposed to be Tatooine, but a war ravaged planet of some sort. One that once may have been great but after 30 years of war, not so much.
Industrial Light and Magic opens UK studio to work on new Star Wars trilogy
.............
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilms and a producer on Star Wars VII, said it was “quite remarkable standing here within three weeks of finishing filming on Star Wars episode VII”. She continued: “This studio continues a long tradition of Stars Wars films being made in London, it goes back to 1976. I think Stars Wars aspires to technical excellence and that’s what brings ILM to London today as this explosion of creativity inside the UK has been quite remarkable.”

It looks like classic Tatooine concept art. Heck, the AT-AT base looks like it is where Obi-Wan found Luke in Star Wars. That architecture in the new concept art looks nothing like the Tatooine architecture we've seen in the films. Least I dont remember anything that looked like that.
I know who is saying it. And these are also the same people that keep trying to push that Daisy isn't playing a Skywalker/Solo and that Luke is the cyborg."They" is not LFL they have said nothing one way or another. But the sources for the past 7 months that have been pretty solid on a lot of what we've been hearing have said it's not Tatooine. Devin even reaffirmed it a few times.
Could it be? Of course there may be crossed wires, but it very well could be just a war torn planet that is new.

That "4 rules" video was really well done, but the whole "Star Wars is a western" thing always annoyed me. It's a lot more than that.
That "leaked" concept art is stunning, the film looks like it will keep Star Wars tracked record of creating visually exciting villains in tact and I love the images of the wrecked Imperial vehicles in the desert.
I'm intrigued by the trooper with the cloak, I wonder if that is someone on the desert planet that has pieced together some armor from Imperial left overs, maybe a bounty hunter? I was thinking it could fit with the rumour regarding Boyega's character.
I am also wondering about the humans fused with droid parts, one looked like he had a bit of a protocol droid built into his face.
