Yeah, I think Gunn's involvement in GOTG 2 and the MCU are the biggest impediments here. I don't think Disney would cannibalize itself by pulling him away from that, at least not in the near future.

The two photos cant line up because Hamill is standing differently in both. In the one he is face on and the other he appears to have his body sorta turned to the side. Its no use trying to match those bits of character photo to a press or candid photo. Plus he is in costume and makeup in the one and in civy clothes in the other. Lets just wait and see what comes of this and not get to bummed out or excited just yet. Its futile to try to disprove it until we have more to go on.

Not necessarily. Especially if it is explained early on what has happened to him. That he is crazy etc, and why. Since this guy seems to have a picture of him, I would assume that it's something that will be in the marketing.

Anyone else seeing similarities between Luke finding a kinda loony Yoda on a backwater planet and Daisy's character going to find a loony Luke on a backwater planet?

About the marketing I wish they had tried to keep Hamill's involvement under wraps or would at least leave him out of the marketing so in the film Daisy could find this crazy hermit and the audience doesnt recognize him at first and then they realize its Luke Skywalker and he's utterly insane. That could be a big moment, but if they reveal crazy Luke in the marketing the GA will know who he is the second he shows up.
