it just seemed like a silly idea to open the movie with.

the concept of returning Luke's saber to Luke is still present in the film; however, even that isn't the main goal of the heroes' journey.

I got a TFA shirt and a Kylo Ren themed cup. For my PS4, I also got Battlefront (although that was a month ago). When I get back to the UK, I may also buy a mini die-cast TIE Fighter figure as well. It will look great wherever I put it

Mmmmm yes here's hoping that daisy and Oscar have plenty to do with interacting together in VIII which is probably my only nitpick in TFA if they're going to pair up. I love to see them interact with bb8 wedged between...


Now if you think about it. ...I could feel poe's presence felt as Rey was interacting with bb8. Hopefully that will work itself out in the next two and beyond.

A couple of things: Concept art of Kylo's new look for Episode VIII may have just leaked on reddit/4chan. If legit (and it really does look it to me) it looks very cool. If not, it's still very cool, so check it out!

Also-- Pablo just said via Twitter that "for the longest time" TFA had the same name as one of the old novels-- Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire.

I didn't get much that wasn't Star Wars related. I'm extremely happy with my Lego Tie Fighter - the Ultimate Collector's Series one - and a book someone got me that puts my name into A New Hope. t: Sure it's for kids, but the fact they thought to have that done, and the fact that according to this book, I was with Luke when he blew up the Death Star, just makes me smile.

But I didn't get a damn medal. D:<

Nice! I was never really caught up in the EU comics and books from before except a few comics that I do have. So now that it's rebooted I wanna try and stay in the loop as much as possible.

First full star wars movie I've ever seen.

I just got back from a screening of it, and I thought it was a pretty great movie. Yes I didn't get every wink and nod and understand why the whole audience laughed at certain scenes, but it did not really affect my enjoyment of it. I tried watching episode 4 yesterday but I didn't get through it.

And I feel like (even though all the old movies are worth watching) I don't need to watch the old ones. I enjoyed Star Wars 7 as simply a new movie, regardless of previous installments.

I was a little upset in the beginning to have (thought) seen that they killed off the pilot character, I liked the relationship he was starting with "Finn". and was pleasantly surprised to see he survived and popped up later on in the movie.

the little orange alien woman was cute and probably my favorite character.

Like I said, I'm not a veteran of the star wars films like most, so it didn't strike a cord with me that hans solo died, but I was still like, whoa - where are they gonna go next with his son? is he gonna die? then he had a faceoff but survived. nice.

who was the big giant evil alien? was he a new character?

and towards the end of the movie, like, what ended up being the last few minutes, I was thinking to myself, damn...this whole movie is about finding luke skywalker so if they end it, it'll be such an unsatisfying cliffhanger for me. but then...he did show up. and despite it being practically a cameo, it was great. great ending, great movie.
