Max Landis has apologized for alleging that the reason TFA got good reviews was because Disney bought off the critics. A number of critics started ripping him on Twitter and he took notice.

While that is stupid and if critics where to really be bought of it would happen with more movies and fans are for the most part loving this movie to.

I've never seen a Hollywood figure trash a movie for as long as Landis has with TFA. His behavior has become really bizarre since Victor Frankenstein tanked.

Thanks Marv!!! Been wanting to know that! lol

That baton is called the Z6 Riot Control Baton.

So that thing wasn't even designed for lightsabers. It was designed to beat civilians. Christ, the more I read about the First Order the more insane it sounds. The Empire could be cruel, but the First Order seems to take an even more sadistic pleasure in causing pain. I guess the First Order was started by the most fanatical mean bastards left over from the Empire.

There are three types of specialist troopers:

A megablaster heavy assault trooper, a riot control trooper, and quite flametroopers. Every standard ten-soldier storm trooper squad contains a slot for a single weapons specialists.

Random things:

R2 has so much memory built up over 7 decades that he "dreams" during lower power mode.

Chewie is 234 years old, and not yet "middle-age" by wookies standards.

How many Tweets will it take to get him to apologize for his personality?

Nice. There's a photo in their of the Finn/Kylo 'saber fight-- The new, light up 'sabers look fantastic.

I had no idea that was a set. Thought it was shot on location.:wow:

And stunt sabers have come a long way from the fragile things wrapped in reflective tape they had for Star Wars 77.

I was looking for this gif and I finally found it. Teehee.

Omg....how did they do that?

lols. that is funny....like, hahaha. "You can't escape the 'Ball', Mr. Jones!"

A girl would have had to be extremely desperate to sex up the Emperor. Lol

.... yeah...like who? and don't tell me a possible version of 'Mara Jade..." oh I can't bear to even imagine... *shudders*

I liked TFA much more second time around. I think this will have rewatch value for me in the long term.

Oh it will be for me...I'll be watching it like crazy until I start having weird dreams about Rey...and co...lols

Yeah, even though it sounds cliche as hell, this is a film that gets better and better on repeat viewings. Even my best friend who is stubborn as hell, and not the biggest SW fan, felt that it was "okay" the first time he saw it. It was hard to convince him to go again. But he did, and now he loves it. It's just one of those films that has so much going on in so many ways it is hard to take it all in at once. But on repeat viewings you really start to see the film for what it is.

Indeed. I think they balanced the past and future well. They could have just made a film with Han and Chewie roaming around the place and I would've loved it. We get that here, along with the great new characters like Rey, Finn, Kylo and Poe. I'm ready for Luke to get the floor in Episode 8 now, like Han did in TFA. The teaser of him at the end was enough for me.

Now can he apologize for the his obnoxious misuse of the already annoying "Mary Sue" term and, honestly everything else he said about this movie. And The Revenant while he's at it.

Max Landis is such a hack. I watched American Ultra over the weekend and while I enjoyed it, I felt the weakest part of it was the dialogue. As funny as it was at times, it felt like it should have been a lot funnier.

You guys should watch that episode of Collider Heroes that he was on recently.

You know just to add fuel to the fire of hate. :o

Max Landis is to genre film making what Paulie Shore was to Comedy. Thanks to their parents and good ol' fashioned nepotism, they got a venue.

Nobody with half a brain gives a flying **** what NepotismSue has to say about anything. He's the writer of Victor Frankenstein for goodness sake.

He isn't fit to lick JJ Abrams boots.

Saw this pretty cool artwork on my FB feed:

Really loved that shot in the movie.

People sure seem to spend a lot of time reading the writings of someone they hate.

The film has been out for over 2 weeks. I think spoilers are okay now.

Going back to the previous thing. Do you think the republic planet destruction was meant to be, not a PT bash but a sign to the viewers that the series will no longer focus on the rich and powerful, but only underdogs? Also (I am a fan of the PT btw and obviously they are canon) do you think there could be a clash between Disney wanting repect them to keep their PT fan customers and the specific writer/directors of the films wanting to (subtley) diss the PT?
