George Carlin kicks ass...

he is a modern day Dr Suess

He's not funny ( at least in them two clips). Maybe I don't get his humor?

Saw him live about five years ago. It was fantastic. This is the guy who even Ann Coulter won't try and argue with.

isnt he dead by now

I uploaded one of those clips

Called airplanes and airports

audio is messed up though

His humor directly relies on the fact that you agree with him. If you don't, he's not even vaguely funny, because he's an extremely caustic old bastard.

I think the problem is, he's very intelligent, but makes broad conclusions to be funnier. Don't get me wrong, he believes in the things he says, for example religion in the video. He disapproves of it, thinks it's negative thing to have existing in the world, etc. However, he realizes things are more complicated than what he says, that all clergyman aren't purposely bull****ting you, that a person isn't some kind of ****** or childish for believing in it.

If you know background on what he's talking about, it's funny, because you realize it. However, alot of people just like it because it's so condescending and insulting. I've tried to actually talk to people about religion, and they justify atheism for literally parroting things he says.

He really knows what he is talking about but acts like a condescending ******* as an act that is very funny. But he's the inspiration for thousands of condescending *******s who have no idea what they're talking about and thinks just making smartass comments and looking down on the status quo makes them better than other people.

for someone who believes in postmodernism, he sure does say thing like "ought to" alot.lol.

His last special sucked, but his other ones were really funny

Yeah, it wasn't as good as his other ones. His "Modern Man" speech was kickass, though.

Yeah, I'm guessing so.

I liked his death penalty on national tv/ppv to solve the budget problem bit alot...but his last hbo special was sort of crap :(

He needs to start drinkning and using again. He's better when he's slightly out of control.
