Slight update. Lucas has already passed on the script to the guys at LUCASARTS that are making the next gen Indy video game.

Everyone worries about Lucas "ruining" this; one must keep in mind, Spielberg and Lucas make them together, and Spielberg actually directs it.

The only negative impact the prequels have on the OT is showing how lame the light saber fights were in comparison. Other than that, I'm pretty sure the OT suffers nothing. They're seperate stories.
