Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine

The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions – all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Celente, who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse and the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, told UPI in November last year that the following year would be known as “The Panic of 2008,” adding that “giants (would) tumble to their deaths,” which is exactly what we have witnessed with the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and others. He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 per cent.
Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.
“We’re going to see the end of the retail Christmas….we’re going to see a fundamental shift take place….putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree,” said Celente, adding that the situation would be “worse than the great depression”.

What sort of credibility does this guy have?

All well and good but did he like... go to a school or anything? His entire experience seems to amount to doing nothing but spending the last 25 years predicting stuff or "forecasting". No matter how accurate or inaccurate he might have been or might be even now he doesn't seem to have the background or education that one would normally seek in an economist or even financial expert.

economists or even financial experts??? ARE YOU SERIOUS?????? THOSE FLIPPIN CLOWNS ARE THE ONES THAT GOT US INTO THIS MES SIN THE 1ST PLACE!!!!!!!

ARE

YOU

FLIPPIN

SERIOUS??????

Let's all read Nostradamus he probably has all the answers.

Why trust this idiot just because you don't trust other idiots? I think it's safe to say that if you have education in finance and economy and aren't able to accurately predict the FUTURE of the financial situation and economy then if you don't have any education you're probably not any more well equipped to predict the FUTURE.

Unless you have a Delorean that trips out at 88 miles per hour or you're real close to the Guardian of Forever you probably can't tell the flipping future.

Every year some loon says something about the world ending or something that leads to chaos.
