Gerard Butler confirmed for an animated Black Freighter!

Great cover art! But I won't watch it until the ULTIMATE DVD comes out.

Yea, I'm thinking the same thing but I'm sure it will be quite a wait. You figure WB is going to milk this for all it's worth and try to get customers to double and triple dip. So I wouldn't be surprised if when Watchmen first hits DVD, it is just the theatrical release. And THEN months later WB will release the Ultimate DVD.

Put me in the boat that's waiting for the Ultimate Edition Blu-ray.

That would be the smart move.

Not too good for us though. :(

Hell, I don't care. I'll double dip for "Watchmen". Bring on March 24th!

Back up. This is being released after the movie?

Also, how many discs is the 4-HOUR SUPER ULTIMATE OMEGA ULTRA WHOLESALE dvd gonna have?

I dont care if they double dip, I'm still gettin' this.

I'm already breaking my head over what DVD to buy...

So there's gonna be....
Theatrical cut (probably first released)
Director's Cut
and probably some kind of.....Black Freighter package or something?

Anyone know if I'm right?

Seems pretty ridiculous to be talking about the DVD already......I haven't even seen the ****ing movie yet...

I already look forward to the version of the film that has the Black Freighter spliced through it. (Again, pretty ridiculous, since I haven't seen the ****ing movie yet) That **** must be insane! You have this multi-million dollar 'superhero' film with fully animated segements in it! Brilliant! It really makes me quite enthusiastic.

I'm getting the director's cut with the BF spliced into it. I can wait to see BF. My God, this is like LOTR of superhero movies!

im gonna get the directors cut with it spliced in it and the regular movie for easier viewing with my friends...

I hope Green Lantern does not suffer from this idiotic need to have extreme vibration effects everytime someone punches something. I'm looking at you, JLU, Superman: Doomsday, and now...Wonder Woman.

Is there a trailer for the Black Freighter?

so it is confirmed that there will be a version of the movie with the BF mixed in?

Yes. And not just the Black Freighter, but additional scenes between the two Bernies, and likely everything else cut from the theatrical cut.

That looks very cool, I wonder if it'll work with the film as well as it does the GN, that aughtta be interesting!
It should be interesting, I don't know how much having animation in the middle of a live action film will pull me out of the film though. The black freighter was my least favorite part of Watchmen. I understood the metaphor, but I was still like WTF? Now when I re-read Watchmen I skip the Black Freighter parts. I'll pick up the DVD just because I love the Watchmen soo much, but I don't know that I want it spliced with the film itself.

i'll probably rent black freighter when it comes out. and then buy the dvd with it all cut together.
