As a big fan of classic horror films, I'd be right on board if he had someone talented behind the project, but once I hear it's from the Producer of the Scary movies, I'll make sure I stay far away from this.

I can see it now, "Written and directed by one of the 25 producers of Scary Movie comes Stan Helsing!"

I think we're having a cycle of spoof films right now. To some extent we're still having the cycle of comic book films, a cycle of romantic comedies, a cycle of war historical films, and fantasy type films. I never thought we'd really have an spoof franchise that comes out every year or so.

Although I do believe Superhero Movie has potential. But we'll never see great spoof films like Airplane, Spaceballs, Hot Shots, Naked Gun, or Blazing Saddle again because those were intelligent spoofs and were actually funny.

Scary Movie 1 is, in my opinion, the best spoof film of the 2000's really.

I watched 20 minutes of this and just turned it off.

For those who feel the remakes ruined the characters who are being mocked in this film, the only thing you need to do is just watch this movie, or atleast the first 20 minutes if you can.

On the plus side, those two a**holes who did all those Disaster/Epic/Date movie crapfests have nothing to do with this. But, they might as well have been responsible for it, from what I've seen. If you wanna see a decent spoof of old monster movies, and can't, for some reason, track down Young Frankenstein, I recommend a picture called "Transylvania 6-5000" from 1985 with Jeff Goldblum and Ed Begley Jr. It's not the funniest monster film there is, but it's definitely worth a lookie-loo. After all, It's got early Geena Davis cleavage, nuff said.
