Im seeing all these remakes and comebacks from 80's Icons and I dont see any plans on making a Ghostbusters flick. What the Hell? Is any one else as baffled as I am on why there are no plans for a future GB movie? Yeah I know about the video game, woopdy doo. But dammit man this is freaking Crazy!!! If Indiana Jones, Rambo,Freddy Krueger, Rocky, Transformers, and a freaking PG rated Beverly Hills Cop Movie making comebacks, why not Ghostbusters? I bet mostly everyone in this forum would love a GB flick.

I think they've tried numerous times to resseruct the franchise, but each attempt has failed to inspire any of the cast.

Sorry...but the closest you'll ever get to a Ghostbusters III is the upcoming Videogame.

Not only is the upcoming game written by Harold Ramis and Dan Ackroid but it is also going to have the voice talents of the Ghostbusters themselves...INCLUDING BILL MURRAY.

Ramis and Ackroid have stated in interviews that the plot of the videogame is basically what a 3rd Ghostbusters film would have been....

Yea since its likely we are never going to see a sequel movie ever happen(closest thing will be the upcoming video game) i wouldnt be surprise if we dont see a remake happen sooner or later. If that does happen hopefully they remain faithful to the films/characters and it is a good film.

Extreme Ghostbusters is canon in the animated universe, which is totally seperate from the movies.

Anyway, the cast has aged pretty badly. I don't think they're in shape to play the Ghostbusters again. I say, let's leave it to the first two, even though the sequel wasn't as good as the first.

Ghostbusters is one movie that should NEVER be remade, and for obvious reasons of course. Lucky for us, the studio can't touch the property and do anything with it, without the other rights holders signing off on it.

Does anyone remember Ghostbusters 2 ? I think that kept them from wanting to go further . However with Ghostbusters 3: the videogame coming out and more than likely being a big sucess it might tempt them to return to the characters for another videogame or it will hopefully inspire the movie. I keep hearing about continued interest in Ghostbusters so I'm not completely losing the faith . The only problem is that it would turn into ghostbusters of a younger generation unless they cast people like stiller and jack black as the new ghostbuster squad. I'm not sure if i want to see that but i'm sure it could turn out to be good.

I think Dan Akroyd might need the money . Ernie Hudson never gets mentioned. Bill Murray wants to do other things .

I thought there was a rumor of a Ghostbusters 3 but it was like a CGI tale like the new TMNT movie that came out. That could work since all 4 are pretty much to old anyway. But Seriously do you really want Ghostbusters to be remade? If that happens you're probably be looking at Comedians being cast as the Ghostbusters knowing Hollywood and all.

I guess it depend on which comedians. I would hate for there to be a remake. If anything a continuation using different characters as ghostbusters but the original guys have to be there. I think Bill Murray and Ernie Hudosn would be ok with a cameo but Harold ramis and Dan Akroyd at least need a small part.

I dont think there would even be a chance without having Stiller . I just hope that it wouldn't be Ferell because I think he's funny but he would sabotage Ghotbusters 3 . Jack Black is ok but not hilarious . I don't think Will Smith would even be asked.

I've never understood why people are so negative about the second one. It's the weaker of the two, but I've never figured out why some people think it's so obviously horrible compared to the first.
