He’ll most likely walk out with the Reitman’s and get applause because they’ll be there to back him.

Yeah, most likely. I hate being vindictive towards directors (unless it's David S. Goyer), but Feig's constant defending his reboot, blaming the fans of the franchise for it failing, and insisting on giving it a sequel that'll ever happen.....yeeah, the guy needs to let it the **** go and stop acting like an *******. He screwed up, we hated his movie, the end. But the bastard won't move on! Even when his movie last year did well, he kept howling on occasion about his GB reboot not being well-received.

Wow! Murray sure has lightened up about it. Good. Maybe having a director of Jason Reitman’s caliber helped.

Like Rick Berman and Brent Spiner? :o
Berman mainly. Spiner definitely not; he's fine. To be fair, i had to come up with SOME kind of example to illustrate my point, so it's admittedly not the best comparison.

So which musical act will remake this:

Well Ray Parker Jr. was recently posting new images to a mystery project. Turns out it's a new music video.

Ray Parker Jr's "Who You Gonna Call?" documentary will be previewed at Ghostbusters Fan Fest + new music video coming! -

The budget is also fairly low for a film like this.

Guess they don’t want a repeat of overspending like on the reboot.

How did they even manage to spend $144 Mil on the Movie and have it look like a Scooby-doo movie?

Wasn’t the Ghostbusters Fan Fest today? Jason Reitman’s didn’t announce anything?

So Weaver, Ackroyd, Murray and Hudson have all read the script.

One of the kids may have some connection to the original team but doesn't know about it.

I'm hoping this doesn't turn out like The Terminator franchise where they keep trying to make it work over and over again and all they do is stain the brand.

Well, they’ve never fully rebooted the Terminator franchise like they did with this.

This is the first actual sequel we’ve had in 30 years.

The Ghostbusters video game from 10 years ago should count for something since it's unofficially treated as Ghostbusters 3. Time will tell if it's considered canon in this sequel.

The Terminator films ran out of new ideas and fell into a trap of diminishing returns.

Ghostbusters doesn't even feel like a franchise that has reached its potential of stories that could be told yet.

As long as the new film carries on the spirit of the original two while bringing in some fresh ideas then it should do ok.

It was a fun game, but nobody outside of the fan base knows about it. To the general public, this is the first of the main cast coming back together since the second film.
