The game is being remastered and re-released. So it has more life in it then alot of video games
“If it’s true, what I’ve heard — yeah, I think it’s gonna happen,” Potts teased. Asked directly if she’ll be involved, Potts answered, “I think I will.”
The Terminator films ran out of new ideas and fell into a trap of diminishing returns.
Ghostbusters doesn't even feel like a franchise that has reached its potential of stories that could be told yet.
As long as the new film carries on the spirit of the original two while bringing in some fresh ideas then it should do ok.

Oscar Venkman? So many comments saying they hope he's Venkman. There's only one Venkman and if it's not Bill Murray, I'm not interested.
How could Rudd be Oscar? He’s 50 (even though he looks like he could be 35).Oscar Venkman?

Paul Rudd is ageless, but can't quite pass for a 30 year old ;-)Oscar Venkman?
Yeah obviously he's not going to be Venkman... I guess a lot of people think it's a reboot or a prequel? I don't know. I guess Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon play husband and wife and the younger cast play their kids. How could he be Venkman when its pretty clear they are probably bringing back Bill murray to play Venkman. and it sounds like Bill Murray is indeed returning.
As for Oscar, yeah Paul Rudd probably wouldn't be the right age to play him. but you never know.
The GWW has learned that Reitman is searching for a 70 to 90-year-old actress to play “Roller Granny,” an “old woman who works at a carhop. She’s dry and funny in a way that makes her seem ambivalent to the customers.” Roller skating experience is preferred for auditioners.
