Well from the sound of it Murray, Ackroyd, Hudson, Weaver and Potts are returning. so i dunno if it would be just one scene. thats alot of people for one scene.

As for Paul Rudd being a ghostbuster... well he is a fair amount younger than the Originals so that could seem odd. he isn't a kid to fit in with the kids. and he is technically abit old to play Oscar.

Although there is still a good chance he could be Oscar, and they just ignore how old he is for the sake of getting Rudd. but he might even be playing a villain role or something. who knows.

Newcomers Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim have signed on to join the ensemble cast of “Ghostbusters 2020,” sources tell Variety.

The pair joins Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard, and “Gifted” star Mckenna Grace.

Sony declined to comment on plot details, but insiders tell Variety the story will be an extension of the original “Ghostbusters” and focus on Coon, a single mother, and her family, including Wolfhard as her son. It’s unknown exactly how it connects to the original Ghostbusters series. Details of O’Connor and Kim’s roles are also unknown.

“Celeste and Logan are rare talents and we’re all grateful that they’ll be lending their unique voices to ‘GB20,'” Reitman said in a statement.

The “Ghostbusters” sequel is produced by Ivan Reitman and is set to hit theaters summer 2020.

O’Connor recently co-starred in the film “Selah and the Spades,” which premiered at Sundance. She portrayed the younger version of Gugu Mbatha Raw’s character in the Netflix film “Irreplaceable You”and also appeared in the independent film “Wetlands.” “Ghostbuters 2020” marks O’Connor’s first major film role.

Yeah really not sure about basically a big budget kids movie spinoff of Ghostbusters with the old actors maybe just having cameos or small roles.

I think this approach is much better than trying to cast 4 current comedians who will be compared to the 4 originals no matter what they do. It’s an impossible task and unlikely to work as we saw with the 2016 reboot.

You can’t replace the original 4 with the equivalant of today because there is no equivalent of today.

I don‘t get it, that he does get so many big roles now, and Gaten doesn‘t. Finn is mostly „just ok“Dustin is by far my favorite Stranger Things kid
