I had read that a few months ago from posters on imdb.com's message boards, he's playing a Dubai Shiek (at least that was the rumour there), after watching the interview his role is much more suited for Ghostface.
I love the fact that Jon Favreau got him a part since he is such a big fan of Iron Man.

^ I remember that thread and I'm one of the ones who was against it if it distracted from the film. If he can act great but if not I don't want a movie full of gimmicks.

Little appearances like this haven't ruined any superhero movie so far, so I doubt that this will be anything short of fun and entertaining...

Nice to see that this is confirmed!

I dont see anything wrong with it.

The guy is a real fan of Iron Man, so cool for him to get a little cameo.

As long as he does a decent job, I have no problem with it.

He seems to be a real die-hard Iron Man fan, so i dont think he will screw up his cameo. He likely wants the film to be as good as we do, and stick to a tone right for the comics. If he starts rapping or being used for nothing but gimmicks then i would start to be concerned.

:D Big Wu-Tang fan, so I'm glad he has a little cameo spot. I'd have much rather seen it like, Tony is at a club and Ghostface is there in the background or something, but this'll be cool either way. Those who know Ghost's music and what not, will be able to recognize him, and those who dont - it'll still be ok since its nothing big-big.

My friend and I always joked that Ghostface and Raekwon should've played Iron Man and War Machine in a film.

As a huge wufan and an even bigger Mr Coles fan, I'm so glad Ghost face got a role in this movie. You guys should check out his ironman, supreme clientel and pretty tony albums, which are imo his best 3 albums. Lots of references to marvel comics and ironman in particular. His opening track on SC is the 60s animated ironman theme tune.
Him starring in this movie had to happen.

Marvel's new Iron Man film hits theaters this week and despite early reports that Wu-Tang rapper, Ghostface Killah, would make a cameo appearance in the flick, SOHH has learned that he's nowhere to be found in the final version.

"Marvel and Paramount eliminated the story line that led to Ghostface's scene in Dubai," a spokesperson for Ghostface told SOHH. "Robert Downey Jr. [who plays Iron Man] was having a party in Dubai where he runs into Ghostface and they have some dialogue, an exchange about lending each other yachts and Bentleys."

To make up for the disappointment of landing on the cutting room floor, Iron Man director Jon Favreau put in a call to Ghost himself to apologize, smoothing things over by making sure to keep a touch of Ghostface in the film by adding some musical elements.

"After the change John Favreau called apologizing and made a quick fix by licensing the 'Celebrate' video," Ghost's rep said. "Then Def Jam allowed us to replace the music with an original song for the movie, which all happened within 3 days and 5 days before [the] final edit."

Ghost's affinity for Iron Man has been hugely evident throughout his career, thanks to the Staten Island MC's adoption of Tony Stark - the super hero's real identity - as an alter ego as well as his decision to title his solo debut Ironman.

Ghostface's wasn't the only cameo that didn't pan out, despite rumors that Samuel L. Jackson and Hilary Swank would appear in the film, the final cut proved otherwise.

Iron Man hits theaters May 2nd.

So no Nick Fury either ??
