GI Joe accelerator suit viral video

I stumbled across this video on another site today, and decided to upload it to Youtube. I didn't know Paramount was planning a viral campaign for this movie, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Eh...while I love viral stuff, as far as G.I.Joe goes, that was kinda lame. Something like a couple kids snooping around a military base and catching some quick footage of a suit being tested would have been more appropriate. Not to knock off Transformers, but having some dude with a web site called like "Now You Know!" might have been cool, having the person who runs the site convinced there is a war brewing the public doesn't know about against an enemy we are oblivious to. Getting other footage, maybe more accelerator suit footage, leaked footage of interrogating a captured neo viper, Zartan watching and mimicking someone and we're left to wonder why, stuff like that.

We'll see I suppose. Though I will say it feels a little late in the game to start doing viral stuff. At this point it's all downhill until it comes out really, isn't it? Trailers and commercials are out, now it's just a countdown. Virals should be used to hype a movie up, not kill time til it's out.
