That may work. Gilligan's Island worked 40 years ago, not sure how audiences would take it now.

Not all TV shows turned to movies are awful....look at the first two Addams Family movies. I liked Get Smart.

Dawn Wells and Russell Johnson better have cameos. Tina Louise I don't think would be interested. She's tried to distance herself from the show for years and I don't think she was in any of the TV movies.

Personally, I think this would fare better on TV as a remake series, but the off-hand connections to Lost may effect it (it would be a funny spin to have them all be on the same mythical island).

loved the show in reruns as a kid. I been wondering for years when a film adaption would happen. If it does happen now i hope they treat it with respect. And not just make it be one giant goof ball thing. Cant wait to see how this turns out.

i used to watch gilligans islnd before i wentto shcool. my brothergot me into it. i got tread of it so i stop watching it. i hadn't seen it in years. if i rember they did came out with one or two tv moives. if they make a another moive iwould like I love lucy moive. iwant decent Hooneymooner moivewith john goodman as ralph karmdom. i didn't like the black moive. i didn't like the newer hooneymooners moive. theguy who played rahlp and ed nortion didn't look like the hooneymooner.

Jamie Kennedy = Gilligan, point blank. Craig T. Nelson puts on some weight for Skipper, the other doctor that's not Julian McMahon as Professor, and Hendricks in all her bosom-busting glory as Ginger Grant.

With the creator of the show, Sherwood Schwartz involved as a producer, I would think that the film would be treated with respect.

I am more interested to see who they will cast for the roles. I think that will be key to this film's success. The originals were so amazing and stuck in our heads that they can't just pick any actor to fill those shoes I think..
