First look at Patty Duke

So Santanas dream is to dance? Srsly? While I think that Santana loves to dance and wouldn't mind being a professional cheerleader if she never got famous, I cant see that as being her dream. Girl is all about the big screen. Go figure the writers would mess this up.

So Glee touches on school shootings, and child molestation the next.

Stay classy, Murphy.

Are you serious?

Both Ryder and Kitty were molested as children.

Sam and Artie told Ryder he should feel proud because an older chick wanted to do stuff with him.

It was kinda messed up.

Yeeeeeah, Murphy... you're done. :o

In fairness, not to excuse Sam and Artie, but that's the double standard a lot of guys have about situations where boys are molested by older women.

So their attitude wasn't really unrealistic.

But Glee just doesn't need to go to these places to begin with.

Yeah, the attitute was understandable, but they never apologized or anything. It was just sort of dropped.

Also, Kitty is clearly the catfisher, it's not even subtle anymore.

That's exactly how I feel about the shooting episode. Well acted as it was, there was really no purpose to it other than "Hey, there have been some school shootings lately, let's be timely!" and "Hey, let's put our characters in a really scary life-or-death situation."

There was no commentary to it.

I did think the way they did "We Will Rock You" was pretty cool.

And on the shallow end of the pool, Darren can go sleeveless and put those little shorts back on and do aerobics again any time he wants to. Plus any miraculous occasion where his hair gets messed up gets bonus points from me, because it automatically makes him look better.

Sadly, a couple cool acoustic covers and ogling Darren were the only enjoyable parts of the episode for me.

Ryder's confession and his conversation with Kitty were decently-done, but I'm getting tired of Glee trotting out the "traumatic event of the week", especially coming right on the heels of the school shooting episode. It's too much and frankly seems like a cheap ratings ploy, especially considering they don't really do anything substantial with the storylines they bring up.

Sam and Artie's reactions were moronic but not really unrealistic for teenage boys, unfortunately. There is a HUGE double standard about when boys are molested by women versus when girls are molested by men, and I have read comments IRL identical to theirs, so it wasn't necessarily unrealistic that they reacted that way, but I did think it needed some resolution where they apologized to Ryder, instead of it just getting dropped and Sam and Artie remaining oblivious to how wrong their reactions were.

Also, a school continuing with classes with flashlights and candles after power goes out was ridiculously contrived and unrealistic even by Glee standards and such a lame excuse to do acoustic songs. They didn't even try to explain Finn or Brittany's absences (seriously, just say Finn's cramming for a test or something, not that hard). And "At the Ballet" was interminably boring.

I really liked "We Will Rock You" and thought it was a really nifty way of doing it. "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" and "Longest Time" weren't bad either.

But both this episode and the last one have been kind of jumbled mixed bags, more so than most of the episodes preceding them. I hope the last two are more cohesive and not as all over the place as these last two.

Also, it's obvious they edited this episode a lot, because there were promo pics of Finn, and of Blaine and Sam interrogating Becky.

Cory going to rehab probably made it so they had to re-film and re-edit a lot of scenes.

That aerobics scene was

They're making it painfully obvious that Katie = Kitty. Which, knowing this show, means it'll be someone else entirely. :o

I did not disapprove. Darren's a yummy little boytoy when they let him be.

They've been super unsubtle about objectifying him all over the place lately though. It's really to the point where I have to wonder if he's embarrassed by it.

:funny: He's probably just glad it's not just sweater vests and bowties all the time anymore.

Also, does anyone know what the hell the name of that aerobics song was? Trying to find it on iTunes is making my brain bleed...

I'd love to know what all these people think of some of the stuff they're forced to do on this show sometimes.

Right before "The Break-Up" aired, Darren posted this really long entry on his Facebook where he thanked all his fans for their support of him, etc.

It really, really had this "they're assassinating my character in the next episode, please don't hate me" vibe to it.

Finally found the aerobics song. Call On Me by Eric Prydz. Just watched the video. And considering what I just watched, it's no wonder the show's scene was as hot as it was.

The music video was like a nudity-free porno. :o

Just watched and it was ok. I would've been just fine if Glee spend so much time trying to make Ryder the new Marley trying to force him on us so we can care about him while the other half of the glee members sit back getting little to no development. Only good thing that came out Ryders storyline was Kitty getting developed some more though I wish they didn't waste their time and ours with their "special" of the week.

This would've been a good way to end Sues time with the show but we know that wont happen, though I know she misses part of being a Cheerio coach. Of course though Blaine is the one who has to try to get Sue back, and discusses that the Cheerios are falling apart even though we see nothing of it. Kitty doesn't seem to care even though she was Sues new right hand girl. Brittany comes and goes now but doesn't care when she is around. Everyone is still wearing their uniforms 24/7 unless your Blaine.

Even though it annoys me when they show scenes in promos that aren't in the episode (and I doubt they really needed to cut Finn since he probably didn't do anything where he couldn't disappear next episode) I am glad that they did cut any Becky/Glee boys scenes since it actually made it seem like she has her own thoughts. Though it looks like this is a dead end for now since her meeting with Figgins went no where.

Why is it so hard for these writers to write a good Santana centric storyline? This whole ballet thing was boring except for the usual Santana slams that it gave us here and there. And I am so tired of being told about things but never getting to see them. Santana will go all Lima Heights on someone if they cross her but still haven't seen Lima Heights Adj. Santana finally feels home in NY esp with people being rude to her and groping her (or whatever happened) on the street/subway but we dont see it. She works at Coyote Ugly but we still have yet to see her at CU. She now works at a lesbian club as a cage girl dressed as Barbarella and of course we don't get to see it. Stop being so LAZY! They could've cut half the ballet number and shown us more of Santanas life in NY. And I find it hard to believe that she moved to NY just to move to NY when she wanted to be famous, she wanted to be big, she knows she can sing, she knows she can act. Does she not want to be an actress/singer? Naya talked about how funny it would be to see Santana be an actress and see all the horrible auditions and early roles you have to go on. Would've been welcome. But I was happy that they had Isabelle tell Santana she can take her time and doesn't have to rush. And I wish her instructor was Cassandra July.

Saved this gif since I'm sure I'll have reason to use it on the Hype sooner or later.

I don't get why Ryder doesn't know who catfished him based on that person's phone being in the backpack when he called. If the person is in Glee club, I would think that he'd know who the owner of that backpack was. Really doesn't make sense why that didn't just resolve the whole issue

I had to FF the big number in NY. That singing was boring

He didn't know what backpack it was coming from just that it came from that direction.

idk, i think she may be a red herring
