Didn't find a thread. This show premieres Tues May 19 and for some strange reason, I'm really excited about it. It's about a glee club and stars Jane Lynch! it's from the creator of Nip/Tuck

On a related note, I totally just made my conversion from hetero to gay.

What did everyone think. I'll give it a shot this fall.

It's so quirky, cute I'm too pessimistic to believe it will succeed. (Pushing Daisies syndrome)

But the pilot was mostly excellent. Some of the dialogue was overly inspirational, but it was delivered in a way that didn't totally feel like a sledgehammer. The lead actress is freakin' beautiful! Some of the characters were stereotypes but I realized that's because those stereotypes are kind of true.

Jane Lynch is freakin hilarious everytime she was on screen.

Oh yeah, it won't last past season one. But, I'll love it anyway.

It was off the a rocky start, but by the end I was hooked. Some of the editing was choppy and a lot of the jokes feel flat, but first episodes are always tough. During that last musical number, you can really see where the show is going to go (with a football player and cheerleaders witnessing it) and it looks great.

I just think it was stupid to give a preview episode so many months ahead.

I'm going to give it a shot. It was an up and down episode, but I enjoyed it.

It was OK but I lost count when I was trying to count all of the high school related movie plots they lifted....American Pie stood out the most along with the fact that you can see it heading into others like She's All That, etc. High School shows are tricky to do, it's very easy to fall into the cliche trap with the characters.

Rocky start, but like some of you, by the end I was really enjoying it. I'll give it a go for the first season.

I don't fully remember She's all That but the lead actress is too much like Reese Witherspoon in Election to go into that territory , imo.

I smell a cult show... I haven't seen a high school show this good since Freaks and Geeks.

i really enjoyed it! im gonna have a blast watching this show!

ps what are you guys talking about airing months early? i thought this was going to be a summer show....it cant be a fall show can it? what a waste if so! theyve been promoting it like crazy for quite some time, and we are months away. i figured preview meant like maybe a month.

I caught that preview with "Don't Stop Believing" and I was like...huh, looks decent. Didn't have anything to do tonight so I watched it after the Laker game.

...........Wow. I liked it a lot. Some of the jokes fell pretty flat though, but I enjoyed the heart the pilot had. I'm hoping the writing improves but I'll be in for the first season considering I only watch House and How I Met Your Mother these days.

The preview did what they wanted it to, it interested me enough to start watching it when it aires regularly.

I agree with the comparison to Freaks and Geeks...lets just hope it doesn't see the same fate. :(

I like this show's pilot a lot...it was pretty funny and I like the music. Too bad we have to wait until fall to see the season.

Oh Freaks and Geeks, how I love thee.

It heavily borrowed elements from Hamlet 2, if anyone's seen that.

everyone who enjoyed this please track down the Uncut pilot that leaked online on Monday. It's essentially the same but has more scenes and it's incredible.

damnit, I missed the preview last night. Hopefully it will be up online today

their version of Don't Stop Believin is #2 on iTunes as of now :D

I loved that whole scene with "Don't Stop Believin'".

I'm looking forward to hearing them do Queen actually if the previews are to be believed. The music in the show they use is fantastic.

Ryan Murphy always chooses the best music. He does the same with Nip/Tuck.

God how I hate that song and how much its been overplayed since the Sopranos finale. Which is ironic considering I was in fact born and raised in a suburb to the south of Detroit.
