Sorry if this has been brought up before (I looked back a few pages and didn't find the official Glider thread anywhere), but anyways, has anyone mentioned that the Snowboard glider could possibly be part of a larger glider like there was in the originial comics/cartoon with the second Goblin. Actually.. come to think of it, that might have been Hobsy. Either way, I think that would give a little redemption to what Raimi has given us. I remember that one of the Goblins had some sort of smaller Glider that would fit in securly to this huge wicked looking thing. Any thoughts?

i personally this that what Harry is wearing is just a prototype...he just wants to get out there and kill Peter A.S.A.P. not caring what he looks like...which is more realistic if you think about it.

That does make sense but I wish that there was a little more relation to the real thing. I love how the Green Goblins were always about theatrics, sort've the Joker to the Spider-man series. And seeing him without some sort of intense original look is a little disapointing.

well, to be fair, we've only seen about 2 seconds of one scene from SM3 so far with him in it...and that scene seems to be pretty intense...but as far as the look, i feel ya....i hope it's only a prototype and later in the movie he comes after Peter again in full on goblin attire.

and people are constantly saying he's a "skater" or something when he rides the glider the same way the first GG from the first movie did...it's just in kind of a board shape...he doesn't ride it like a skateboard...i find this to be an unfair label.

That would be awesome. Kind've lead people on then boom, something totally different. Well, not totally different, but similarly different if that makes sense lol.
As for people labeling him as a skater, that doesn't make sense, but I agree, I've heard a lot of people say that. I thought the glider from Spider-man 1 was fine. But theres always a problem with something...

no kidding...

not to say that the first GG could have used A LOT OF WORK...but you'll always get your really nit-picky people who judge before actually seeing the finished product...

Maybe we'll see some more of Harry's Goblin attire and weapons at Comic Con, but I also agree with you must people when they think that what we've seen a prototype. Thats why I haven't a opinon about his outfit yet... not enough shown.

mawo32 your idea about this snowboard thing being part of a larger glider could be possible. Sam Raimi seems to be taking pieces from a wide range of spiderman titles- TV and comics -so using the glider from the animated series could be what we're going to see in SM3.

Personally, I didn't really have a big issue with the Green Goblin either from the first one. I thought Willem Dafoe nailed the character, which made me completely forget how the suit wasn't EXACTLY the same.
As for the glider, or any other part of this movie, whether it be Topher being Eddie Brock or the Goblin suit, I have complete trust in Raimi. Hes a genius who knows what he's doing. I agree though, I don't think I can wait much longer for any other information, I hope some good stuff is revealed at Comic Con.

I think it would be pretty cool if he flew it a differnt way. I don't mean like a stakeboard or snowboard, but side to side while going forward. :gg::bomb:

i wish people would just accept he wears an original outfit for the movie

i have a feeling its his outfit. ho hum.

but it might not be...we really don't know, and the "i don't care...right now i just want Peter dead" senario is a realistic one.

i don't see why people can't accept that :p

exactly, maybe in the battle royale he wears the full goblin outfit...

I think that what we saw is the final costume.

Why would he? He only comes to save Peter not to avenge his father.

maybe in the battle royale we see the full-on goblin outfit fighting against spidey and then see harry show up on a glider to help spidey without the outfit...gasp!! who is on the other glider?!?! it's norman back for more!!

-edit- changed abttle to battle

Maybe he'll use the full outfit just because it's for protection, I mean isn't it made with metal? And the mask because people could be watching from below the construction... dunno

After reading some responses, I have to agree with a lot of people in saying that were not seeing the whole thing right now and I hope thats the truth. If the glider does indeed become apart of the bigger glider then I'll be fine with everything else, regardless of how bad the mask maybe.

I agree. It doesn't make sense if this is not his outfit. First, why would a character wear a different costume each of the two times he appears in the movie? And second, why would they show us the "prototype"? To spread negative hype about the film?

Regardless if that truly is the costume or if it's just a prototype, it really does look very different as compared to what most Spider-man fans as well as general public know as the Green Goblin. That's probably why most people, as well as myself are concerned. If it doesn't really resemble what we all know as the Green Goblin, then what's the point of labelling Harry as that?

garanteed Harry will don the goblin gear before the end

the cunning hunter attacks neither body or mind

.. he will finish what his father started and go for spider-man's loved ones

but he will fail... maybe lol

Maybe they are trying to mirror the first film. When Peter first started out (the wrestling match) he had his "prototype suit." Perhaps Harry is going through the same stages that Peter did.

Thats a great concept to follow BCS, I never thought about it like that. I just hope its not Harry sitting in his room drawing on a sketch pad his "ultimate design."
