Agreed it was so much fun. I love everything about it.
I really hope it gets a season 3
I finished season 2,and damn I want more of this show.
It's definitely smart on their part by making the show 30 minutes long and only giving them 10 episodes per season. It keeps you wanting more.
Yeah. No tv show should be longer than 10 eps I reckon. The quality goes way downhill
Some of the best shows in television had 13 episode seasons. Would Breaking Bad have been better if it wasn't 13 episodes seasons? Justified? The Americans? Mad Men? The Sopranos? The Wire?
13 is ok but not 22. 22 is way out
Excellent season. One thing I wish they followed up on:
was Liberty's drug use. Going from being a regular drunk to snorting coke is a serious escalation, and is a real and common thing in wrestling, especially in the 1980s. Her getting ****ed up and breaking her opponent's leg in a ring is a serious thing in the wrestling world, and they kind of let that aspect of it kind of peter out.
I started this recently. Been getting through it very fast and really fun so far.
You really steam through the episodes at that length. I bet a high proportion of viewers who start now will binge both seasons. You could easily do the whole thing in a day. And this reminds me of Iron Fist where I’m looking at the clock and backing out to the menu to see which episode I’m on and it’s 3 after what feels like half a day.
I definitely do like binging 30 minute episodes more than hour long episodes.
Yeah I liked the bite sized format too plus I just love the way the show embraces the time it’s in
Welfare Queen was hilarious. When is season 3 expected?
Season 3 comes out on August 9th
Been missing this show.
Going to enjoy this final season. After all it is Netflix.
Nobody does the 80s like Netflix! I can’t wait
I love this show. Can't wait for August.
What a little gem of a show this has turned out to be.
I feel like no matter what movies she’s in, those star wipes happen every time geena winks at the camera
I hope Geena is like a wrestler from the old territory days, like Mae Young or Fabulous Moolah, who's now some kind of casino owner or something.
Hell yeah Geena Davis is awesome. Been a fan of hers since the 90's after seeing her in stuff like The Fly, Beetlejuice, A League of Their Own and The Long Kiss Goodnight. I hope they do some great stuff with her character.
The more I think about it, Geena playing a character that's kind of a composite of Moolah, Bill Watts and Sheldon Adelson would be interesting, especially with Moolah's history of basically serving up young female wrestlers to her male friends like a plate of ribs, and this show not shying away from the "women betraying women" storylines.
