Some of the best shows in television had 13 episode seasons. Would Breaking Bad have been better if it wasn't 13 episodes seasons? Justified? The Americans? Mad Men? The Sopranos? The Wire?

Excellent season. One thing I wish they followed up on:

was Liberty's drug use. Going from being a regular drunk to snorting coke is a serious escalation, and is a real and common thing in wrestling, especially in the 1980s. Her getting ****ed up and breaking her opponent's leg in a ring is a serious thing in the wrestling world, and they kind of let that aspect of it kind of peter out.

You really steam through the episodes at that length. I bet a high proportion of viewers who start now will binge both seasons. You could easily do the whole thing in a day. And this reminds me of Iron Fist where I’m looking at the clock and backing out to the menu to see which episode I’m on and it’s 3 after what feels like half a day.

Hell yeah Geena Davis is awesome. Been a fan of hers since the 90's after seeing her in stuff like The Fly, Beetlejuice, A League of Their Own and The Long Kiss Goodnight. I hope they do some great stuff with her character.

The more I think about it, Geena playing a character that's kind of a composite of Moolah, Bill Watts and Sheldon Adelson would be interesting, especially with Moolah's history of basically serving up young female wrestlers to her male friends like a plate of ribs, and this show not shying away from the "women betraying women" storylines.
