To look at overall reasons for the prequel trilogy not living up to expectations in many eyes;

1. When making the original movie, Lucas was a young, rebelious kid fighting against the system and the money men to get his dream project made. Twenty two years later, he is the system, he is the movie studio empire and he's a super-rich man with children of his own.

2. In 1976, the only person who believed in Lucas was Lucas. Now he's built a fortress, and surrounded himself with an army of yes men (Rick McCallum is surely the ultimate lackey of all-time) and talented geeks who grew up on Star Wars. He owns the CGI company, he owns Skywalker sound. He has his own movie industry. Having people around you constantly asking questions and pushing you to do better is beneficial.

they should have just made it a tv movie......

thats what i thought it was.........but now there on another SEASON.
they said miniseries!

they got millions of viewers so they just stretch out the story to infinity...

i dont see whats all the buzz about that show...... i tried to like it. but its just SO dam boring!
