Godless is a seven-part Netflix limited series from Steven Soderbergh and Scott Frank, written and directed by Scott Frank, starring Jack O’Connell, Michelle Dockery, and Jeff Daniels.

Frank Griffin, an outlaw terrorizing the 1880s American West, hunts down Roy Goode, his partner turned enemy. Roy hides out at a ranch as Frank's chase leads him to La Belle, New Mexico - a town mysteriously made up entirely of women.

this looks stunning

I saw the thread title and I hoped that it would be a new documentary series on atheism.

I then read the synopsis and felt deflated.

New trailer is out, cant wait for this.

O’Connell does a good Tom Hardy in this.

Saw the trailer for this when I was waiting to see Justice League. It was vague but still looked interesting. :)

I finished watching this a couple of days ago. I enjoyed it a lot. It was fairly classic western-stuff storywise but the actors were good, the characters they played likable and/or interesting and much of the show looked really beautiful.

Nice. I've got two Punishers to go then I'll be jumping on this next. :)

I just finished episode 3 and this is awesome. Very riveting and the acting (with the exception of the Sherriff’s sister) is incredible. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a show that I can’t wait for the next episode and yet I don’t want it to conclude. Dockery, O’Connel, McNairy and especially Watterson and Daniels are outstanding. Who would have thought that Jeff Daniels could be so frightening.

Just finished this. All I can say is wow. Thoroughly engaging and rewarding. I loved this.

R.I.P. Whitey. Wish he’d have survived. Or at least went out a little better. But he was too innocent and good for this story.

Finished this. Fantastic series. Amazing cast with lots of familiar faces.

What a f***ing great show. Writing, direction, cast/performances, production design, cinematography, all top notch.

Surprised it's not getting more chatter here.

So am I. I finished it and enjoyed it all the way through. :D

Agreed. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.

Just binged this. That shoot out in the final ep was off the hook! Great show.

Started this a while back, got distracted and now just recently finished after starting again from the beginning. Very well made and enjoyable series. Some things didn't make sense, like the nearly blind sheriff being such a good shot in that last episode. Read some comments with people wanting a season 2 but I hope they leave this as a stand alone story. However if the people behind it do another unrelated western I'd be all for it.
