If this is "supposidly" the last film for most of the cast and crew then do you expect them to go out with bang or not? It really seems that way to me. But, I may be alone in that.

In what we know know yes..... but we will never really know until May 4th.

Well... Considering all of the possible deaths in the movie... All of those character certainly HAVE to go out with a bang (apart from Aunt May maybe). They just deserve nothing less... :word:

Deaths aside...will Tobey and Kirsten leave the franchise on a high note? Will their exit satisfy us all?

Judging by the fact that the acting in the trailer looks exceptional, yes they will. :yay:

No, I don't expect the cast and crew to commit suicide by shotgun. I believe they'll find other jobs.

Maybe you're being sarcastic but thats not what I meant.

definately wont be the last we see of spider-man on the big screen, in fact, I'd even put money down on maguire doing another.....

Don't imply it will be a bomb. That's blasphemy.

I really don't want another sequel after this, frankly.

Seriously, though, I would be, like, actually mad.

What? When did I ever say that?

We'll see. As for Kirsten Dunst...I think this will be her last. She has said many times before that she isn't interested on a Spidey 4. As for Sam Raimi...we'll see if he's still interested. After all, he has spend the last 5 years working on Spider-Man. He may wanna move on to other things.

The trilogy is over people... get a grip... you don't have Venom and GG2 and Sandman as a setup when we know how it all ends... these people can't be playing the same character for decades.... what if Raimi comes back what if Tobey comes back blah blah BLAH.... no one is gonna spend 300 mil to show a god damn giant Lizard on the big screen... let Sony pause... and then go in another direction in four or five (maybe ten) years... so go out with a bang... for now

If they can recast Bana in Hulk, they can recast Tobey. Sure, the fanboy community will be up in arms, but mainstream public go to see Spider-Man, not the actor playing him.

i think it will satisfy us all being the fact the this is the last movie and this will be the biggest movie of the franchise.

Hm. Well I think this is the end of the Raimi movies (and effectively the end of the Tobey Maguire movies and thus the end of the Dunst performances in Spider-Man films as well...a snowball effect ain't it).

Raimi is done. Sony will probably sit on the franchise for the rest of the decade and let technology become cheaper and wait maybe what 5-7 years (or more!) and come out with a new Spider-Man title with some name other than 4. It will likely be Peter's new found life new villains and little connection to this set of film (a new cast and crew taking a shot).

But to immeadiately jump within 5 years into a new cast and crew would be stupid IMO. People say audiences don't care who plays the part and that's not true. While they go to see Spider-Man they now associate Tobey Maguire with Spider-Man. If he is not Spider-Man after 3 films and within a few years, it will look like a cheap sequel with none of the majesty that the first three films were greeted by. Hulk 2 looks like crap, don't go by that.

A new Spider-Man film without Maguire soon would be a mistake on the studio's part which is while they'll sit on it for probably a decade then.

This is precisely the type of thinking that almost got Tobey fired during SPider-Man 2. No matter how stuck-up Maguire got, the studio rightfully knew that it wasn't Tobey that gave them their record opening day and weekend... it was Spider-Man

They should sit on the franchise for a little bit until a really good idea comes along. I'm always open for more Spider-Man but I want to see the quality remain decent.

yah im pretty sure they will try and sell this movie as the last one. and it will go out with a bang. and in 3 years will all be discussing the trailer for spidey 4.

Xmen has made $... yet there is no talk of a fourth... now I doubt we'll see a spinoff... I could see Spidey 4 as early as 2010-2012... but with a new cast with a story that is loosely connected to this one...

Maguire is Spider-Man in audiences eyes after 3 films. Recasting so soon would be a HUGE mistake. People go to see Spider-Man but everyone now thinks Maguire IS Spider-Man though (general audiecnce speaking).

This is the WWE of all movies. 3 villians, all fighting. What more can this last movie squeeze in?
