Okay, I used to buy comics and stopped, but I decided to pick the hobby up again. I wanted to know what are some good X-Men comics out these days. I already bought the Astonishing X-Men 1-14 online. Are there any good books that start from the beginning and retell everything from the beginning? Thanks

You'll find no books that will completely retell everything from the beginning. You'd have to start at issue #1 for that. However, this coming June, the X-Men title and Uncanny X-Men title will be getting a new creative team, so that would be a great place to jump on if you're interested.

What comics did you read before quitting?

...

Wolverine(two months ago)
Origin
House of M(its ok)
Decimation(blew away DC's Ifinite Crisis(Read House of M to "get" it)
The Colossus TPB
....

I definitely recommend you pick up X-Factor. It's still in its first few issues, so it shouldn't be too hard to catch up on.

X-Factor? I have like issue # ninety something. Did they start over again or something?

The original X-Factor comic was cancelled in 1998. A new X-Factor comic was started in January, this year. It stars Multiple Man, Strong Guy, Wolfsbane, Siryn (from X-Force), Rictor (from X-Force), M (from Generation X), and a new girl named Butterfly.

I would recommend She-Hulk. Issue number #8 just got released.

I have an eye out for the Heroes for Hire title to be released this summer; the Daughters of the Dragon mini makes me think that its going to be a fun series.

Sweet! A new X-Factor series. I'm going to go with that. By the way, what happens to Havok and Polaris then?

If you're willing to keep an open mind, definitely check out The Ultimates.Solid gold.

Havok and Polaris are currently on hiatus, but they'll soon be joining the cast of Uncanny X-Men.

Uncanny X-Men is still going? What issue are they on now? The earliest issue I have is 189.

Somewhere after 470.

Astonishin X men, you can buy the hard cover recopilation with the first 12 issues, its currently in issue 14, and is the best x book out there

Make sure you pick up Exiles too it rocks.

If you're going to pick up Exiles, take your time and start from the beginning. Starting now would just be confusing.

besides... Morph is WAY more funny and you get to read Mimic, ThunderBird, Magnus, Hyperion... its all good, all the way through..

I have been away for awhile too. Could someone please fill me in on who the new creative teams are? Thanks.
