I think Hollywoodland gave him a bit of a kickstart this will maybe just let people know that he is actually going to be serious for a very long time.

Just watched it,it looks very good,as a few have described it,it is based on a book by the guy who also wrote Mystic River and that feel is there with a touch of the Departed...the trailer also doesn't try to shill it as Affleck's which is smart

Great book (Lehan's best outside of Mystic River and Shutter Island) and I was optimstic but skeptical about this cast and crew (like the Flecks, but htis is a great book). The movie looks awesome though.

Yeah, I was wondering if it would do that when I first started watching. I think that Miramax will probably allow buzz and word-of-mouth to spread before they start advertising Ben's role as director.
