Pretty simple. What are some good actors that squander their talent by being in a lot of ****** movies?

...

Hugh Jackman
Nic Cage
Jason Statham
Samuel L. Jackson
Robin Williams

Cuba Gooding Jr.

WTF happened man?

Also... Ben Kingsley or any respected actor who's shown his/her face in an Uwe Boll movie.

Add John Malkovich to the list.

Also Milla Jovovich. I thought she was immense in Fifth Element. But now she seems to be happy just playing female bad asses when she could of been so much more. Stupid woman.

Eddie Murphy... seriously how many times can you **** on yourself and expect to have a decent career.

Bruce Willis a bit lately except for Live Free Or Die Hard. He seems like is signing for a pay check anymore.

Nic Cage but not always just wish he was more consistant.

Nic Cage's money problems are the main reason for his decline in recent years. He's HAD to take roles just for the money even if they are pretty crap.

But he is ****ing epic in Bad LT.

Brendan Fraser.....with just about every role he's chosen. The Mummy and The Mummy Returns set him up to be one of Hollywood's leading A-listers. I don't know what happened.

Milla Jovovitch
Matthew McConaughey
Sylvester Stallone

I also think Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had some potential but has squandered it by starring in really bad action movies and horrid family films.

Matthew McConaughey
Kate Hudson
Emmy Rossum (promising actress who squandered her good vibes in POTO with films like Dragonball: Evolution)

Matthew Goode in Watchmen.

A good, underrated actor who was simply miscast.

Yeah... Dwayne Johnson had a shot there, around The Rundown... what's he doing now? Race to Witch Mountain? The Toothfairy? Jeez man.

He could still pull himself out of it though.

Matthew McConaughey could be something very good but he chooses not to live up to his potential imo with the roles he chooses

Hm....

First one that really comes to mind is Robin Williams in "RV".

I completely agree. Well, his few episodes of [Scrubs] was amazing and made me cry like a baby.

Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro Post Heat. These guys should follow Clint Eastwood's lead and really pull in a new iconic performance in a great movie.

Even if he was miscast (I'm kind of 50/50 on this), I don't know that one movie qualifies you to be named among actors that have made a multitude of bad choices. Although, he also starred in the critical and financial flop "Leap Year," so you might be on to something there. But then, he was also in "A Single Man," one of the most critically acclaimed films of last year.

As for Watchmen, I think there were two reasons why he felt out of place: 1. his slight frame and 2. the fact that they didn't age him. I don't think that his build was so much an issue as the age factor. I guess Snyder's philosophy was that due to Veidt's scientific brilliance and his wealth, he had been able to retain his youth more so than the other characters. But unfortunately that wasn't clear and you're left sitting there, puzzled how this guy who doesn't look a day over 25 could possibly be the smartest man in the world.

He had awesome potential, but got sucked into the easy money of Disney family flicks.

He needs to do more mhardcore action films like The Rundown, and less crap that I will never see like The Tooth Fairy.

For any time he does God & Monsters, he does 10 Dudley Do-Right movies.

Yeah, but he also showed up in crap like Doom. I think that, maybe, he started doing those stupid family films because he wasn't getting offered good action roles.

Or maybe he just decided to "Brendan Fraser" himself. What is it with these guys who had their big break in Stephen Sommers movie?

Oh, wait. Maybe that means that Channing Tatum will soon become relegated to doing crappy family films and never again show up in a movie that has potential. That would be a good thing.

Will Smith ..chose Wild Wild West instead of The Matrix

I never knew that. That would have been a GREAT Matrix movie! Depending on if he was Neo...

I'm glad he did. Say what you want about Keanu, but I think that he was a lot better as Neo than Smith would have been.

And that's not a knock on Smith, just that I think that he wouldn't have been right for the part.

I second "The Rock" he had so much potential as an action star, but instead he let Disney suck away his life like a leech.
