Closed. Indefinately. Two years of my life I will never get back. 30+ friends who don't have AIM that I will never be able to talk to again. I spent 2-4 hours their daily. And without any warning whatsoever, it's gone. No goodbye's, no final comments, nothing.

uh...closed indefinetly doesnt mean "gone forever." It means "we're rehauling our forums, and dont have a set date as it might take a while." Like when the hype goes down for maintanence for a weekend, but longer...you're the stupid one...

That's not even true. I work at Toys R Us and we get shipments of Wii's almost weekly now, and we sell all the other systems. Also, we sell out of Wii's pretty much within a day of getting them (sometimes we'll have 1-2 till the next day).

I'm sure A official Nintendo forum will come back sometime, but they just took off the whole thing with no warning at all. A warning would have been nice to get screen names from friends, and maybe save some certain messages, etc.

Also, why dont you cry about it? Forums get shutdown on a daily basis. If you had friends on there then you'd be able to get in contact with them. Email, hello? you have to have an email account to sign up. Crying about hwo your one connection to society outside these forums is kinda sad.

Seriously, while its in read only mode get their emails.

I personally had less than 20 posts all the years I was there. I thought it was funny in a thank-God-it-didn't-happen-to-something-I-care-about way. And on the Nintendo forums you can't get other people's emails.

Just because I made a thread about how Nintendo made an obviously stupid move doesn't mean I'm crying about it. I made the thread because it's a major change.

Because I hate the fact that Nintendo shut down the forums without warning definately means I've cried about it AND it also means that I have no other connections to society. I'm surprised at just how much of a genius you are! Are you a psychologist? You analysis of my entire situation was incredibly accurate! Are you able to detect sarcasm? I can't get email. In case you are unaware (which you are, despite your advanced intellect) you weren't allowed to post any personal information on NSider. Contact information wasn't allowed to be put into profiles, so I can't just get their email. Thanks for the suggestion though! If I could see their emails I definately wouldn't have thought of that already! No, it's not an extremely obvious idea, you're just really smart for thinking of it!

You apparently aren't very skilled at deciphering PR babble. They word it like that to cast it in a brighter light. In the automated email responses that go out it says the future of NSider is uncertain, but that they aren't planning on retaining ranks or post counts. And notice how nintendo.com is apparently getting the overhaul, yet that hasn't been shut down. So, yes, NSider will be "gone forever". This Monday, it won't even be read only. It will be deleted. Gone forever. It's because lithium is very expensive and Nintendo doesn't care about their community anymore. I'm sure there will be a new one down the road.

Your post was definately not making anyone other than yourself look stupid.
