Good new and bad news on the cameo tip...

TVGuide.com: Will other characters from the Blade films appear on the series?
David S. Goyer: Possibly. We have a flashback in which a young Whistler, who was played by Kris Kristofferson in the films, appears. We do flashbacks, so although a lot of our characters ended up dying, we have plans, if we go into a second season, to bring back two or three other characters from the films.

Goyer: Dr. Karen Jenson, the hematologist from the first movie, and Hannibal King, the nightstalker (played by Ryan Reynolds) from the third film will show up again.



Young Whistler? Awesome. Karen Jensen? Praise the Lord!! Hannibal King? Why, why, why? The only way I'd wanna see that character is if Blade is gonna kill him.

If they re-introduce Karen Jenson, I'd say that's a step in the right direction. I think Goyer shot himself in the foot with Somerfield. What a useless character. Natasha Lyonne couldn't even do her death scream on account of her severe smoking habit.

If King is somehow miraculously played by Reynolds again, I'd love to see him. He gave the only good performance in Blade: Trinity, even though the movie character wasn't at all true to the comic character.

It was bad enough when Reynolds and Biel took so much time away from Wesley, it would be a thousand times worse for poor Kirk. Same with Biel. If she doesn't want to come back to Seventh Heaven, keep her away from the Blade TV series.

A Whistler cameo or two would be great.

What they need to do is have KJ on the show as a regular... which, I still don't agree that this show should even exist, but whatever.

I agree, I doubt Reynolds would do the show anyway, but I'd get an unknown as to not upstage Sticky anymore than he already is getting by sexy Jill. up:

Excellent news. I guess they'll probably bring Karen in to use a similar cure for Krista at some point. I can't see here staying a vamp for the entire show.

As for Reynolds, awesome! I love to see him back again!

Reynolds would REALLY outshine Sticky's Blade. I don't think I'll ever get over this Blade casting decision (and no, I didn't want Snipes to be the TV Blade).

this is great, and I unlike some others didn't mind Reynolds as Hannibal, but I would definitely want a recast, even though there is 1% chance reynolds would even do it, considering how big (famous I mean) he is now. Other than that, damn, I would love to have jensen and whistler do cameos, and possibly have jensen be a regular on the series. Did anyone else see the video on ign with Goyer saying that he would love to have fans write in to them what they would like to see? It's called, "Call To Action" or something like that. I'll see if I can find it... I wish he would give some damn contact info though.....

I dunno about King being in it--I liked him in Trinity and all, but one of the best things about him was his flamboyant language, and I can't see Spike allowing King to call someone a c**k-juggling thunder-c**t on national cable TV.

They've said the second word on Rescue Me (which also allows s***, just like Blade), and they can say the first word on pretty much any cable channel. I don't see the big deal.

The difference is that Rescue Me is rated TV-MA and is played late at night. Last I checked, Blade is TV-14 or so.

Reynolds wouldn't do the tv show in a MILLION years. Check out his IMDB profile. He's too busy. Even if he did have time, I doubt he'd do it.

I always felt it was a glaring mistake for Goyer to have left out any allusion to KJ after she played such a huge role in the 1st movie.
