ITT: List and talk about X-men video games you think are good.

The good ones I know of are X-men: The arcade game, because 6-player beat em ups are awesome; X-men and X-men 2 clone wars on genesis because they were decent action/platformers; X-men: Mutant Apocalypse which was made awesome due to Capcom; The x-men legends series because its a good action RPG; and XMO: Wolverine: Uncaged Edition for capturing the essence of being Wolverine.

The best games =

X-Men Children of the Atom : Best game ever. Wish it could get the StreetFighter 4 or StreetFighter HD Treatment.

X-Men Mutant Academy 2 : Because fighting as Professor X and making him ***** slap Juggernaut and trip him over with his wheel chair was TOO funny.

^ Yup!!! they captured the charecters very well and even got locations down in that game .. omg Omega Red?? Magneto?? totaly bad @$$!! just wish there was more charecter selection.. and did Spiral really need to be there?? lol

Second to that for me is X-men vs Street Fighter.. and only because they added Sabertooth and the addt'l X-men and tag team feature was cool...

just wish they would come out with something like that again and combine them all.. and why was Archangel missing from both versions?? lol

I still have the old X-Men vs Street Fighter for playstation. Man that game is fun!

But my favorite X-Game has to be X-Men Legends. Playing alone I can imagine it could get very boring, but my sister and brother play too so the whole time I'm barking out fighting commands to them and we're trying to come up with strategies and occasionally fighting over who took the last heal. It stuck to the characters pretty well and actually had great voice acting. It wasn't until the second time I was going through the game, this time by myself, that I realized it's really easy when your team mates are computers and we must have been real lousy players to have gotten stuck on some of those levels before.

Sadly X-Men Legends 2 disappointed me, and the voice acting bugged me to no ends!

I remember a good game i had for the Mega Drive but i cant remember what it was called. It had a silver foil cover and you could play has either Cyclops, Wolverine, Gambit, Beast, Nightcrawler, Psylocke and Magneto.

dang i wish i still had my X-Men Children of The Atom & X-Men vs Street Fighter games :( can u believe if you look online amazon and ebay want like $40 and up for that PS1 game???? smh... i mean id gladly pay $20 but cmon anything more than that for a PS1 game is a rip off lol

Yeah, can you imagine how much those prices will spike up in the next 5-10 years? Mine already shifts between working and dead whenever I try to play it and eventually a lot more of the copies will do the same thing until there are only a few left. They should re-realease it. Or better yet, do an anniversary edition and make a totally updated version of the game with more characters and better graphics! Still, it's hard to beat the old 2-d kick-punch-kick style of the original.

i mean i was suprised, i woulda sworn they would have that game for like 5-10 bucks.. but nooooooo they want PS3 game prices for that X-men PS1 game.. go figure... my best bet is to find sumone online willing to sell it or a mom n pop used video game store lol shouldnt be too hard rite? :whatever:

where might one go besides Amazon & ebay for PS1 games? those things are scarce nowaday lol

Have to look for stores that sell old video games. I only know of one that has an online store with good stock. www.videogamecentral.com

They have Mutant Academy 1 and 2 for PS1 but Children of the Atom is out of stock.

of course... just when im looking for it too.. ugh! i hate karma lol

Do you live in NYC? Because there's a store in the village that has a lot of old games. Some stuff is overpriced though so don't expect to find a deal there.

Just to toss in something different, I liked the old Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade's Revenge game for the SNES. Some of the levels kinda stunk (Wolverine) or were just frustrating (Storm), but thinking about the Gambit and Cyclops levels still makes me giddy. Not bad for something that early. I really enjoyed X2: Wolverine's Revenge too.

Love the XML games! The NES X-Men and Mutant Academy 1?; not so much.

hmmmm... lemme guess... St Marks Place rite? forgot about that place.. Thanks!!

Yeah. It's called Video Games New York now. Nearby on 13th street right next to an NYU building there's a store called Play N Trade. They have some old stuff, mostly new. Can't hurt to check it out.

Spider man/X-men: Arcade's revenge and X-Men: Rise of Apocalypse for the SNES

and yes XML 1 and 2

Yeah. Play N Trade's stock on older games is pretty limited. VGNY might have it but you'd find a better price online.

like where though? where online should i be looking? im def not tryna pay $30-40 for a PS1 game lol

ebay and Amazon. If you keep looking on eBay, you'll eventually find a good price.
