Just got this yesterday... it's siiiiiick.

Any other fans of Gorillaz out there? If so, cop this **** right quick!

It's sorta like a mix of hip hop, 80s pop synth, darker ambient sounds, bit of rock/indie, a dash of orchastral/classical. You got some slow burning ballads, some acid/trippy dance numbers, some straight up club bangers and tunes for a chill out (whilst preferably under the influence of some kind of hypnotic drug). Basically, just one hell of an eclectic mash up. Damon Albarn is a genius if you ask me.

Oh yeah, I love Gorillaz and Plastic Beach is no exception. There were songs I liked at first hearing and others it took a while to get use to but now I love the entire album.

My top songs are...

1) Empire Ants (this song got me into Little Dragon)
2) Superfast Jellyfish
3) Stylo
4) Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach
5) Rhinestone Eyes

Yea I love pretty much every track. Empire Ants and Rhinestone Eyes stand out the most for me.

And I agree it takes a couple listens to fully appreciate all the tracks for what they are. It's just so eclectic and unpredictable it can throw you off a bit first time round.

Has anyone heard Electric Shock? It's a demo that I'm guessing was suppose to be on Plastic Beach but they use parts of it on a few of the songs.
