I do.
A 3 1/2 year old. I introduce him to various superheroes, but don't jam 'em down his throat. He loves Spider-Man, and Superman now that he sees him everywhere. Not so much for Batman.
It can be the basis for a genuine friendship when you and your kid honestly enjoy the same thing and you stop being parent/child for a little while and just be good buds.
Anyone else with little guys/gals?
Do you encourage your kids to share your goofy little hobby?

I have no surviving children but when my baby sister was about 4 and my nephew was 2 they ran up to me and pointed at a kite some distance off. "Is that Superman?" they asked me, and of course I said yes. They believed that they had seen Superman for years to come.

I don't have any children yet, but I'd love to have a few dozen someday. Love kids.

Now I just need to find one of them women things. :(

I'm 18. I have no children...
...that I know of.

No, but my friends and cousins sons think they like Spider-Man more then I do....madness

Your avvy rox, who is it?

I come here and I read posts by so many people who get so heated in their arguements, so angry, insistant, sometimes insulting, over something which is basically held over from our childhoods. Then I look over at my son, who will have very sincere conversations with his stuffed Spider-Man doll, or even the Spider-Man portraits on his bedsheets.
"The power of a childs imagination" has become a cliche, but when you see it happening right in front of you and you stop to really appreciate it - it's a beautiful thing.
I really envy his ability to so easily summon a false reality.

I'm 34 too and I still have my original Star Wars bedsheets...but my wife won't let me put them on the bed.:(

You said you had no surviving children...I hate to ask, don't want to get too personal or dig too deep, but I can't imagine loosing a child.
My Mother had 5 miscarriages, and I still see her hurt when it comes up. I doubt I myself have the substance of being to endure that kind of loss.

I lost my only child at 3 1/2 days to Pentalogy of Cantrell Syndrome. He would have been 7 in August. It's amazing how strong you can be when you have to, but God Forbid you ever have to
