Nice! Makes me wanna take some of mine, but first I need to clean up the dust and get myself a better digital camera. :yay:

Do you use a mini photo studio at all? or a custom light setup?

Ugh what is with this double posting and non responsiveness here...

Takara doesn't come close to competing with that ... doesn't even look like a toy.

No studio. Far from it, use the floor space in my formal living room. As for custom lighting - nope. Just used two flash units off camera that were fired off with Pocket Wizards.

Pre-ordered as well as the two Iron Man versions (Mark II & III).

When you get that new Joker sculpt on the v1 body, that's the best piece of movie Joker merchandise around.

I don't want to hijack this fella's thread, but since its the same figure, I don't see any need for another thread for this same figure...

Hope you don't mind, flg8r. :)

Well thanks very much for this. Until tonight I'd been perfectly content with my Takara Batman which, don't forget, was state of the art 2 years ago. However after seeing your pics I had no choice but to order the Hot Toys figure. You've just cost me 120 pounds. Thanks a lot.

Thats how I felt when I only had the Takara, but look at flg8r's pics of the Takara, it still really shines to this day. I'd say once you have both, it's the best of both worlds.

Look what somebody done with theirs. http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1136577&postcount=1360

I say, "You just can't stop this figure collecting!" It's like a second childhood. It's not playing, because there's some degree in planning/visualizing the poses and then there's the digital photography aspect to it -- the instant gratification! And the meticulous care of these figures. Back in the box after each photography session. These are things that I just don't let my kid handle unsupervised. I think I found my niche in photography. I like manipulating the variables to achieve the desired effect!

Also, a few other pics of other Batman figs I own. They don't necessarily to be expensive figures to get cool pics!:

hey flg8r,

i don't have a lot of experience buying the nicer, 12" HT figures. When you change the heads from off the neck, do you have to do anything extra besides just pull it off in order not to damage it? I thought I read somewhere you have to heat the head up first? Is that true? thanks for your time

Hot Toys’ heads are very easy to interchange. It pops right out without any hassle… I’ve tried it myself. :yay:

Edit:
If you meant with a 13” DC Direct figure then there might be some problems… especially the difficulty around the neck area.
