I wonder who the female "assassin" is? Shiva? maybe a member of the League?

It might be Shiva. It seems more likely that the League of Assassins will be behind the Waynes' murder . I am guessing they are setting up Ras as a the big villain in the shadows.

I am starting to like that they are finally giving Bruce some adventure in Gotham. I really hope they stick with it. I don't want to see him hurt himself doing these stunts though....

I don't want to then see Bruce sitting on sofa for several more episodes due to a broken ankle...

The show is far more interesting when Bruce features more regardless.

He's ex-military, who is protecting an Orphaned child that he's in charge of. When a bunch of assassins are storming a house, I'd be glad to have someone like that around.

I'm already waiting to see a young Victor Fries as a student at some Gotham University. I could see Harley showing up just as another kid that befriends Bruce, and wants him to confide in her, since she's a good listener. (Do you all get it? Good listener. She's gonna grow up to be a psychiatrist, yo!)

And you just know they are not going to miss out on the chance to show Ivy, Selina and Harley as kids together.

The female assassin is played Lesley-Ann Brandt, who originally played Naevia on Spartacus before leaving the show. She was replaced by Cynthia Addai-Robinson, who plays Amanda Waller on Arrow. Spartacus actors seem to have some connection to DC-related stuff.
