Well, at least in this love triangle, people won't question on which of Barbara's two lovers got her pregnant.lol

    'Her'?

They better do Jim Jr. first... or this is a massive bust.

Agreed, they should have just used Com Loeb as his boss instead.

All these age changes are one of my pet peeves with the show. And his boss was probably just given the name Sarah Essen as an easter egg, with them never intending to follow that particular story line. Instead of just coming up with a new character like Fish Mooney, and saving the character, because you never know what you'll do in the future.

    I really liked this episode.

As others have said, wasn't feeling the Barbara stuff. I actually thought she wouldn't show up in the episode at all.

If you can accept this series as an Elseworlds tale like some of the one-shot stories in the comics and TDK trilogy -- an alternate take on the mythos that was never meant to closely follow the comic book canon -- I think you'll find that your pet peeves will magically disappear.

Reardless, the fact that this Sarah Essen is older than Jim doesn't mean they won't bang it out someday.

B****ing about the age changes is why I can't take comic nerds seriously anymore.

What's wrong with the writers of these comic book TV series that they both all have problems with writing female characters that are cemented in canon as the protagonists future partners (Dinah in Arrow, Barbara here)?

I do sense a bizarre trend going on and it's unsettling

I am getting tired of this show. I do like the Bruce and the Selina plot line though.

However, Penguin and Fish mooney are getting on my nerves. They show them way too much. I am getting tired of it.

The Barbra love triangle is so boring. It is just so corny. Stupid coincidence too. I mean what is the coincidence of that! Poor Gordon.

They need someone fresh to kick ass besides Gordon and Bullock all the time. I was hoping that black cop at blackgate was going to be a fresh face and do some ass kicking in the series... my hopes were smashed... :o

Seriously. Why can't people just take these television series for what they are and allow them to establish their own continuity without b****ing about what "they got wrong".

And like it or not, this is probably a Bat-universe in which Gordon will probably be well aware that Batman is Bruce Wayne.

The entire concept of the series (Gordon being the one investigating the death of the Waynes) should be a clear indicator to pretty much everyone watching that this will not follow the comic continuity beat for beat.

This show is at its best when it is just focusing on Gordon and Bullock. Their dynamic together. This show needs less characters, not more.

Show won't last that long with less characters though

The Batman villains is what the show should be about, except for the fact that they are younger and hasn't fought with Batman yet.

More villains = better and LONGER

Ugh this is what's wrong with the fanbases, ALWAYS complaining about something even though when it's a HIGH quality TV show in every way. People don't see it, and want to complain about something, then they will cancel a VERY good show!

That's why we rarely have good shows on TV anymore, but CRAPS and JUNKS like reality shows.

    Damn fans are TOO picky!!!!!

Not me... character development is highly important. And they will have more villains as the show goes on, hopefully for 10 years!

It's about patience and knowing that they have to spread out the plot and each different villians so they have MORE season of this show! You can't all jam pack them all in one season or 2.

Are people really that desperate for action all the time, you know that means LESS Gotham in the long run if they do that, right?

Absolutely agree with this. The comic history actually had a great dramatic and believable story of an extra-marital affair but instead they have contrived the one we have in the show with
    Montoya
