The Dark Knight Gotham Unified School District

22 has come up in a couple of other places too, December 22 caroling, District 22 on the school bus, 22.1 student/teacher ratio, and all of these are just the Gusd site. Feel like I ran across it a few other places on the new sites too. Probably just the 'number 23' for the game in a sort of "Haha! Two-face" kinda way.

So did anyone notice that they have updated the Gotham USD site as well, sorry if it's old news; but maybe all our websites have some part of significance for our virals that are now.

The school site has been updated also, new menu and new news.

Nothing Groundbreaking, but there may be some clues here, they keep it as updated as any others.

Nice, students can come to Brazil now as part of the Students Abroad program.

Any Gotham City students willing to pay a visit, just let me know. :woot:

interesting thing: "June 20th, Last Day of School, Final Report Cards Issued." So if you're say, a bank robber who likes to use school buses as getaway vehicles (and a van for special needs!), what would be the last possible day to rob a bank?

In fact, we may be in interesting territory for ARG's here. Because "in-game" means we're going to be literally within the movie's timeline.

(and that teacher at the blackboard on the website is a hottie...)

What about the school's "lock-in"?! That sounds like their asking for trouble!

The wiki has it, but I didn't see anyone on the boards mention it. The site has been updated. Me thinks that the school trip to Gotham Carnivalland will not be uneventful. :joker:

Yeah; so the bank heist we saw; is technically happening in the future on july 18th or 17th depending how the movie treats it. So we wouldn't see a Viral directly with those events...perhaps leading up to them; but, the movie is ground zero for it to happen.

I love how it says "have a safe and sane summer."

I saw that too, and it looked a bit suspicious, also on the lunch menu the 24th has "Summer Vacation!" all on one line on the calendar when every other day it says
"Summer
Vacation!"

of course this could be nothing, but doesn't your eye go directly to it?

Taking a look at those stats, these have to mean something, 70% masters degrees?? Hell most universities barely crack that amount, and this is taking into account elementary schools also?? And 71% graduation rate? thats terrible, this can't be right.. Unless they thought we would never look that closely at this site, which experience shows that they haven't really half-assed anything so far..

Actually, 70% for Master's Degrees is about right. After you graduate college with your teaching degree, you have a specific number of years to log hours in your discipline and you have to take 18 credits in a planned program of work. Most teachers just end up getting a masters, because it also bumps you to a higher pay bracket. So assuming that 30% of your staff have only been teaching for roughly 10 years or less, that number would be spot on.

And unfortunately, a 71% graduation rate is also pretty damn good in today's society.

Over all though, the site lists a lot of information that my own particular school district gets asked by parents.

Noo...that's TEACHER'S with 70% MA's.

Meaning they've got clever teachers, but rubbish at teaching if there is only 71% graduating.

BUT if it's a troubled area, then 71% is actually very high considering the situation.

(reading and posting the same time as Tannim there, confirming my thoughts as well) :)

I think the carnivalland info might be a clue, too. Otherwise it seems a bit morbid for the GUSD to schedule a field trip to the same place where Jake Karnassian's family was found dead last year. Plus, several classic Dark Knight comics have confrontations btwn Batman and the Joker at carnivals.

The joker would be drawn to a carnival, wouldn't he. :D

some one said in the othe viral post something about carnival like a word number combo thing...also they had 14 numbers and summer vacation is 14 letters

Actually speaking as a teacher, it's rarely the fault of the classroom teachers if only 71% graduate. Especially if it's a high crime/poverty area because generally, education is NOT high on the child or family's list of concerns.

The way that the states track the grad rates is really messed up. If a kid enters in 9th grade and moves out of the system, they still get counted as a "non-graduate".

But yeah, 71% is extremely good for a troubled area. Hell, that's good for a non-troubled area. :woot:

Have A Great Summer!
Don't forget the 8th Grade Field Trip to Gotham Carnivalland on July 11th. Parent permission slips will be mailed out on July 7th. See you there, and have a safe, sane and satisfying summer!

you think we might get these???

i wonder if Gotham Carnivalland has a website. If you guys remember the 2nd issue of the Gotham Times, there was an article "Mystery Deepens as a Family Found Dead at Carnival".

I've been searching for a carnival site and I haven't found anything yet.
