Hello everyone. Hope you had a good weekend. My country basically got f**ked yesterday.

So, lemme ask you something: How come we're not seeing as many good-hearted comedies now as in the 90s? I watched City Slickers, The Odd Couple 2 and the Grumpy Old Men duology and I sure miss their style and wit. Then I watched Anchorman and, although I still love it, I can't get over how less I liked it.

I really like the old school comedies movies like Planes Trains and Automobiles, The Burbs, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Uncle Buck, etc.

I miss John Candy.

I'm really looking forward to Amazing Spiderman; I'm taking a great liking to Rhys Ifans as Dr. Conners. The dedication and commitment he is making to the character is very nice to see from what I am hearing; the same applies to Garfield, Stone, and the rest of the cast for that matter.

I'm kinda bummed that we're getting a seemingly evil Connors. His character so far sounds more like Doc Ock. Which is funny, because SM2's Ock was more in line with Connors.

I'm really trying to be excited for TASM, but I just can't. I'll be there opening night, I just wish I had more faith in it.
