Just wanted to create a thread where everyone can express their thoughts on this.Would you like this team to be the ones who lay the foundation for every DCU film.

I can see Goyer/Nolan writing the originmovies for the remianing league members like they did for Bats and Supes.Sequels cld be handled by other writers but the Goyer/Nolan team will responsible for the first films as they are very important franchise Kickstarters-we dont want another Green lantern.

So how do u feel about this happening?

Nolan producing or not producing , doesn't matter to me...but Goyer writing and Snyder directing/producing (going back and forth) is what I want to see.

If Bale is back in JL, you have a Nolan produced, Goyer written, Snyder directed Batman. If Batman is rebooted, you have a goyer written, Snyder directed new Batman for JL. Along with Snyder producing him in his solo movies...just with different directors and writers.

I think Snyders gonna take up the producer role for each film if Nolans isn't a part of this. Otherwise Nolan produces everything.

Goyer written WW, Flash and GL. Or at least he can do the first draft of each. If others want to come in and take over, no problem.

No thanks. I'd rather see Nolan working on projects like Interstellar.

There's actually a lot of talented writers and directors out there. WB just needs to find/hire them.

This.

Goyer already scripted/storied three Batman films for Nolan. Get somebody else.

Exactly. My dream would be to hand over the DCU to Dini/Timm as producers and head writers. Bring in other writers to help on each film if you want, plus give Dini/Timm the freedom to choose directors with vision.

Still not a fan of Goyer, and I don't think Nolan's sensibilities work for an undertaking like this, so...no thanks. I'd be ok (but not exactly thrilled) with Snyder staying on board as a director as long as he's got a good writer backing him, but even if MoS turns out amazing, I wouldn't trust the Snyder/Goyer duo on their own for this universe.

I think Marvel has the right idea in going to a successful TV showrunner to be the "creative godfather" of the endeavor, because that's basically what these shared universe franchises are - large-scale serials. In order for them to work, you need someone who's used to thinking far beyond just what makes each solo installment work, but how it all works together in the big picture. So I LOVE the idea of getting someone like Paul Dini to construct this universe. Other TV writers who could be great - Bryan Fuller, J. Michael Straczynski, Drew Goddard, David Fury. Those last two have done a lot of work with Whedon and Abrams, though, so they'd probably be more likely to join their blockbuster teams.

Handing the keys to Drew Goddard wouldn't be a bad idea.

This x1,000,000,000 :hrt:

Nope, let Chris do his own thing. He doesn't want to do anymore and has said as such. However, if Syncopy were to take over, that'd be sweet, Goyer has established himself as a comic-book niche guy and Jonah Nolan said he would love to adapt more DC Characters.

If you are going to have Goyer I would say you definitely need someone else to hash his basic plots out into better films. Someone like Jonah Nolan if Chris Nolan does not want to do it.

This, of course, is the best idea...

Goyer as the architect of the DC universe, opposing Kevin Feige and Joss Whedon, Goyer? God help the DC cinematic universe.

I'm more afraid of Nolan & his realism then Goyer at this point

Nolan has a very finite outlook on the DC characters and I'm sure he will rather explore other avenues on film than more superhero fare. David Goyer is crap without a decent script/story filter around. So no.

I think people have always underrated Goyer on this forum. Whatever his previous crimes against cinema, he wrote a brilliant script for Begins before any help from the Nolans and gave good story ideas to the other two films. He deserves a chance to redeem himself by writing or directing another good superhero film. To see if he can recreate the Begins magic.

God No!!!! No more Nolan, no more hyper realism, no more Zimmer blandness.

Nolan doesn't strike me as a DC fan or someone who would want to do this. I really think he considers his films to be there own thing. He told his Batman story and even thought he is producing MOS I just don't see him becoming DC's Whedon or Kevin. I'm not sure I want him too even. I don't want every DC film to be set in the same gritty n dark tone that Nolan seems to apply to his superhero films. Just my 2 cents.

If Nolan/Goyer do this then great. But if they don't then still great as long as the films are good well made films that entertains us fans.

I have no problem with Nolan/Goyer writing the first movies of each of the solo movies franchise-except the Btaman reboot.Get Dini and the Arkham writers one the Btaman reboot. It ensures you get quality writing all the way round.

I dont ever want to see Nolan/Goyer direct any of those solos and I dont think Nolan wld want to.

He isn't, he used the Batman movies to get whatever energy he wanted to use to do a Bond movie.

I'm not expecting christopher Nolan to stick around AT ALL. His brother is a different story. The team of Jonah Nolan and David Goyer as the DC-solo-go-to writing team is intriguing to me, and would be WAY better than the Berlanti/Green team.

DC doesn't need Nolan. He's a good producer but I don't like him as a director for superhero films. And honestly, Goyer has this down.
