Rockstar Grand Theft Auto 6

It's Take-Two... If they do $100, you'll just get a 3-day early access.

And gamers will still pre-order it.

Honestly, I don't mind paying for a $80 dollar GTA game since there should have been 3 more GTA games since GTA V by now. So I'd be willing to spend 10 to 30 dollars more, because who knows when is a GTA 7 is going to see the light of day. I think GTA VI could get away with it. Other games though, can't.

GTA VI is probably the only game that can get away with a $100 price tag. Nobody's going to be happy about it but they'll still pony up and buy it on day 1 if they really want it.

The selfish part of me, hopes that it lessens the chance of the game being sold out in physical stores in the first week/month.

The launch week/month is going to be insane. I remember when GTA V came out. I wasn't even playing during those times, but I was aware of it because it was getting referenced in a lot of things. Weird how, 2013 feels like ancient times to me now.

I never preorder games anymore except for Rockstar games. Case in point, the last two times I did it were for Red Dead Redemption II and GTA V before that. GTA VI could very well be a "you're only getting it on launch week if you pre-ordered it" situation for physical copies. Of course times are also different now with digital gaming being more prevalent but I'll be pre-ordering a physical copy for sure.

Its definitely one of those games that is a must play on launch day/week/month. The other games in my waitlist, I'm waiting til they slash their prices. GTA VI already feels like a cultural moment even before it comes out and we rarely see things like this.

I can wait for the game to go on sale at a more reasonable price if they try doing a $80+ price tag.

They are gonna milk the online counterpart for years, deep into the 2030s.

As expensive as $100/£80 is, this would be one of the few games I'd be willing to pay that kind of money for.

Unless it's astronomically bad or differs from the previous GTA games, I usually get my money's worth & then some so I'd expect the same with this.. even at a higher price.

What I won't do however is start accepting the price as the new norm. Activision/Call of Duty tried that this year with it being £69.99 for the damn base game & I refuse to pay that particularly for a game that's released yearly & is the same crap as the previous year(s) with a fresh coat of paint.

I'm ok with it, this game should feel cinematic so 30fps is fine

only need 60fps or higher on shooters, honestly

I don't care about 60 fps, though it does feel like more immersive. Its like looking through the next room over a window, rather looking through a tv screen.

Well then, why not go fUlL cInEmAtIc eXpeRiEnCe with framerate locked at 23.976 (rounded to 24) on consoles? :o

Cuz 24 to 30 is barely noticeable, whereas 30 to 60 is worlds apart

idk, I'm playing Cyberpunk right now which only manages 30, and I'm not missing the higher frame rate at all
only matters to me on competitive PvP games
