So when during the week is the new trailer suppose to be released?,I hope it shows an introduction to all 3 protagonists as well as screenshots&info from the article in full gameplay motion

I believe it's due on Wednesday (the 14th).

I noticed that they also mentioned that the game appears to have a score, which would be the first time a GTA game has had one. I was just watching the RDR launch trailer and was reminded of how awesome the music made the game feel, not to mention LA Noire also had it's own score, so it will be interesting to see how they go about that.
Ahh, I see. I assume it will be context sensitive, like push Y to enter a car, but if you're in abseiling down the side of building and you push Y it'll so something different.

I wonder if each character will have different benefits. The article does mention that there will be specific activities/mini games for the three protagonists, but I wonder if there will other 'talents'. For example, we know that Trevor is a former pilot, so will he be the only character who can operate planes?
Yeah, it's sort of been like that already, but just by the way they're describing it, I'm picturing something more along the lines of Uncharted where it feels action packed. The Bank Heist in GTA IV was great, but felt a little held back because all you could really do was jog into cover and shoot.

And yeah, they mentioned that you could do something like rob a bank van or chase down a guy who stole a woman's purse, which makes me wonder if there's some kind of morality system like RDR had, and if only certain characters can do certain deeds.

I see they're making it less like The Sims then lol
I've never thought about it that way before, but it's a good way to describe the gameplay. With that said, it was still effective.

Yes. Including scuba diving.
Hopefully, that means sharks and giant squids and submarines and shipwrecks and stuff, too....can't see the underwater scene being too exciting unless there's some type of challenges to be met there.

Shark attacks would be awesome or at least get stung by jelly fish lol,As for challenges or mini game activities..Scuba Diving/Snorkling/Diving into water caves&digging for treasuresand stuff like that would be great!!

A submarine or one of those small pods subs level would be awesome too!

You can rob bank vans, like outside of missions and in your own freeplay time? Man, I must have missed that bit! I would love that. I used to really enjoy throwing on the ski mask and stealing an armored van in GTAIV, but the only way to get the money was to blow it up, which usually bought the cops. Something more substantial will be fantastic.

The direct quote was:
Dynamic missions extend into the heart of Los Santos as well. If you see a cash van, you can attack it to make a quick score, or if you're looking to do a good deed you could catch the mugger who grabbed a granny's purse.

That actually plays into something I've always wanted which was a GTA game in which you play as a good cop/bad cop combo, where you can do good things with one and bad things with the other. Sort of like LA Noire but with more GTA influence.

I wonder then, if the player can grab a granny's purse? Seems a bit beneath the other two, but I could maybe see Trevor nabbing some poor woman's bag in order to make a quick score.

This being GTA and all, the proper strategy is to grab the stolen purse from the mugger, beat him up and take whatever loose cash he has on him; then bring the purse back to Granny for a reward, then beat *her* up and take the purse anyway.

If you take the physical Customisation, need to eat, and buy a house elements from San Andreas, and the need for sleep and room customisation elements from the Bully, the friends and girlfriend element from GTA IV and combine them with V, you would essentially have a GTA Sims game lol

Well it's not like Miami doesn't have crime today. But that was an unusual period in the city's history, like say how the 20's were an unusual period in Chicago.

Either way, I wouldn't mind a period piece in 80's Vice City. The 80's is one of my favorite decades, and Vice City would look great in modern graphics.

i would love a GTA game set in the 1970s

hopefully the next one is a period piece sort of like Vice City was

Yeah, I know people here have been asking for a game set in San Francisco in the 70's, but I wonder if Rockstar will only use their three cities, or if they would plan on expanding that universe in a new game. It's really unsure at this point because many felt they would do another game based in LA after doing LA Noire and Midnight Club, but here they are with Los Santos.

Speaking of Midnight Club, they said the cars would handle better and feel more like a racing game, which makes me wonder how much they took from Midnight Club. I never really played it but I wonder how they would balance a realistic feel with a racing car feel.

Midnight Club was always a good street racing game; I personally preferred them to NFS. I suspect a lot of Midnight Club: LA's genes will be in GTAV.

Could a GTA game that takes place just in Vegas work? I remember back then it was rumored San Andreas was gonna be called Sin City.

I think so, but you would have to do a lot more with the setting. Like have really good gambling mini-games.

Or a ridiculously customizable casino you can own.

But there's a decent amount of stuff you can do in that city.

I could see Las Vegas being used, if they made a GTA specifically for the Vita.

Oh.

Well, really, they can do a lot with these individual three cities. We got a good mix in San Andreas, but they can do a lot more with them individually.

Nope, just Los Santos.

But seeing as how San Andreas used Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas, as unlikely as it might be, I think it would be cool if they did an expansion pack for one of those cities somewhere down the line.

I don't think an expansion pack can do a whole city justice though.

I wonder what expansion packs will come with this. I don't think they would add new playable characters since we are getting three. Or if they will just move on to the next-gen stuff.

An expansion could add a playable female character, that would be pretty great.

As to the next location, I'm kind of hoping for a multiple city type deal. Maybe not so you can drive from to the other, but a plane ride a loading screen later you could find yourself in whatever the GTA equivalent of Tokyo is. An American, a European and an Eastern city would all be pretty awesome on the next gen's first GTA title.
