Super Bowl viewers in 40 cities across the country will see graphic ads featuring images of bloody, aborted fetuses. The ads are being paid for by fringe anti-abortion candidate Terry Randall:

Anti-abortion ads showing graphic images of aborted fetuses covered in blood and surrounded by religious icons will air during the Super Bowl in February, courtesy of Democratic Presidential candidate Randall Terry.

Terry, who has spent a year in jail and been arrested 50 times for his anti-abortion efforts, is using a Federal Election Commission loophole that ensures ads for political candidates cannot be prohibited within 45 days of an election. Apparently, primaries count, so Terry will be running ads on local stations during Super Bowl XLVI February 5.

The Colorado paper the Greeley Gazette notes that Randall has already run political ads with images of aborted fetuses in New Hampshire. The ads attacked President Obama for supporting “child killing.”

TV stations have typically rejected ads with graphic content, especially during events like the Super Bowl that have a large audience. But by exploiting a loophole that requires stations to air ads by political candidates within 45 days of an election, Randall has managed to circumvent those standards.
“This means that primary states that fall within the 45 day window will have to run the graphic ads during the Super Bowl if he purchases the slots,” the Gazette says.

Exactly what I wanted to see during the Super Bowl; aborted fetuses.

Well, that's charming.

I'm pretty sure the FCC will make sure that this never ever happens.

For some reason I doubt it'll get through.

That guy got fairy dusted during his public speech by the Supreme Vermin (another democratic presidential nominee).

Are we still going to be seeing this or do we not have to watch James Harrison eat anymore after the Steelers got booted out by the Broncos..?

:rimshot:

Doesn't the FCC have rules on political ads? I somehow doubt a candidate can show graphic images of war zones in the Middle East on TV.

"So, without further delay, we bring you a digitised image of what it might look like if the Democratic candidate were to be sodomised by each of the major union leaders in turn..."

Only in America! Amiright? :cwink:

The country were violence, death, and gore is ok but sex is bad bad bad. I love my country but if this goes on TV my faith in this country dwindles a little more. Children watch the super bowl and this is not for children's eyes.

we have anti-abortion protests happen occasionally in my city, have no problem if people want to protest but these *******s have giant a1 size posters of fetuses and scream abuse at people if they dont sign up

hell on started ranting at a kid about how his mum must not want him be alive if she didn't sign, that doesnt make any sense

Yeah, my comment was mainly for laughs, but this issue is pretty serious. No one would want to see this, especially with their children.

This could work in my favor, if I bring out the red sauce chicken wings right when this commercial comes on I could possibly secure more for myself.

So, Janet Jackson showed a little nip and there were huge uproar and the FCC ended up dishing out fines and whatnots, but they are going to allow this political candidate to show bloody fetuses during Super Bowl commercials? Something's wrong with this country.

Here is America in a nut shell:

Conservatives like to kill criminals and terrorists but value life, especially fetuses.

Liberals are disgusted by the death penalty and war but are fine with abortion.

Only in America. Moral of the story is practice safe sex, use birth control, and be responsible. This ad should not and will not air.

At least it's not a black woman's decorated breast.

amiright?

There goes my plans to order buffalo wings.

I did a health report on abortion. If it's an issue that you're interested/involved in, then you should conduct your own research. Abortions, especially third trimester ones, are unbelievably disgusting in a number of ways. But images depicting abortion isn't appropriate any where on television; especially not during a family event like the Super Bowl.

This is the first time I am HAPPY that we don't get the American commercials in Canada during the Super Bowl.

Who came up with this disgusting idea to be nationally televised during the SuperBowl is beyond me. :down
