Grayskull: Masters of the Universe - Part 2

Yeah but I'd prefer a good actor who bulks up over a bodybuilder with limited acting skills. I'm not saying you need an A-List, Oscar winner here, but I'd prefer someone who is a better actor than Arnold or Dolph.
Some of us have this opinion.
To others, the muscles comes first and it's not important if the guy has acted before.

I would like to know if the latter group found Brad Pitt to be a wrong choice for Achilles. The demigod is meant to be really strong and good in battle, so why didn't Wolfgang Petersen cast a wrestler/bodybuilder?

Nobody is saying to just blindly cast a body builder or wrestler into the role and hope for the best. Of course there will be auditions. The prospective He-Men will likely have to come in to read several times in order to get the part. What we're saying is that there should be a happy balance between looking the part and having the talent/charisma to pull off a good performance.

Considering the amount of roles Jai Courtney is getting nowadays, that may or may not be true.:whatever:

I don´t know if this has been discussed before, but what villains besides Skeletor would you like to see show up? I´d like to see Beast-man, Mer-man, Trap-Jaw, Tri-Klops, & Webstor or Kobra Khan, for the creepy villain vibe.

You do know that a lot of people felt and still feel he was the wrong choice for Achilles...right?

Count me in the former. We all like Schwarzenegger but he's an aberration and apparently the one single example where this cast-a-meathead mindset didn't go laughably wrong.

I assume because he wanted his movie to be a success, or at least taken seriously.

Who would they rather have seen?
An actual greek warrior?

For the henchmen, it's Evil-Lyn, Beast-Man, Tri-Klops, Trap-Jaw and Mer Man. Kobra Khan belongs more to a sequel where Snake Men are the villains.
For the good ones, I have already gone through it:
Next to the royal couple and Adam/He-Man, we need to see Man-At-Arms, Teela, Orko, Sorceress, Ram Man and Stratos. In other words, the basic ones.
I also have a soft spot for Mekaneck.

Webstor, though would be cool as heck, plus he brings that creepy Man'Spider vibe along.

This movie is no closer to being made now than it was 5-7 years ago. Seems Jeff Wadlow, who made a big push to direct the film, has already moved on.

This is clearly not a top priority for Sony now after Tom Rothman took Amy Pascal's job.

Arnold is not that good either. He has his muscles and his cool face. That's pretty much it!

The same should be done here. MOTU needs to be taken seriously. It can't be a silly campfest.
Cast real actors!

Could work, unless he should be saved for a sequel. We don't want an overcrowded film, do we?

In my opinion, Fisto, Jitsu, Clawful, Spikor, Stinkor, Moss Man, Roboto, Two-Bad and a lot of others can happen later on. There are just too many characters in MOTU for its own good. Enough to fill a franchise.

You don't really need a better actor than Arnold or Dolph though. I mean this is He-Man we're talking about, not MacBeth. Most of what he'll be doing is swinging his Power Sword and punching the bad guys. Most of the dialogue heavy scenes will likely revolve around Prince Adam mostly.

It's ok, dude :)

Will she be a good Teela? What do you think?
You already suggested Sean Bean and Lena Heady for the royal couple.

Lol, let's just do an entire GOT transfer to MOTU.

Sean Bean: Randor
Lena Heady: Marlena
Sophie Turner: Teela
Kit Harrington: He-Man
Charles Dance: Skeletor
Alfie Allen: Trapjaw
Conan Stevens: Beastman
Iain Glen: Duncan
Peter Dinklage: Orko
Indira Varma: Sorceress
Natalie Dormer: Evil Lyn

Isaac Hempstead Wright could be Orko and Dinklage Ram Man? Not sure about the latter. Depends on what version of the warrior you want.
Imo, Ram should be a little shorter without changing him into a dwarf.

Richard Madden as Prince Adam/He-Man
Harry Lloyd as Skeletor
Carice Van Houten as Evil Lyn
Kristian Nairn as Ram Man
Charles Dance as Hordak

I'd rather see Kit Harrington get totally jacked and walk around half-naked for an entire film. :o

She's a good actress, young and pretty. She'd definitely LOOK the part. But the only thing I've ever seen her in is GoT, where she's always played the meek girly-girl. I don't know if she can play a tough as nails warrior woman, which is exactly what Teela is.

That's why I was thinking the wildling girl. She's also young and beautiful, granted a bit older than Sophie Turner. But she actually has convincingly played a tough as nails warrior woman, which makes me think she might be better suited for the role.

"You know nothing, Prince Adam."

Jared Padalecki as He-Man?

Hmmmm. . . Maybe. He'd certainly make a good Thundarr. Maybe even a good Conan. He might have to add a few pounds of muscle to be He-Man, but he might actually do a good job.

Someone send out the Sawyer signal... He needs to see this.
