It is a very good video, but after sticking up for MOS myself, I think there are only a few people who might be swayed by it.
I believe that most people are more influenced by the impression that a movie leaves them with, rather than the actual facts of what happened in the story - e.g. I hated Superman returns, partially because of a few things that happened, but mostly because of the impression - yet it has a much higher rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Honestly, I would rather watch
Superman IV the Quest for Peace.
Rant over. Anyway, some criticisms that even comic book creators who've written Superman made about MOS lack validity - but its the impression that the film made that counts.
Now I was one of those people who could be swayed, as I went into the film expecting to hate it....mostly based on the neck snapping thing. But, within the context of the story, that totally made sense. And yes, while it's not perfect (what film is) the impression that MOS left me with was
of pure awesomeness. I can understand though why some people would be left with different impressions, (particularly based on the incredible scale of destruction in MOS) I don't agree with them, but I can understand if people didn't like some of the film-maker's choices.
There's an even better rebuttal video than this one. If I can find it again, I'll post it here.
What's especially gratifying about this video though is that in a previous post is that I too wondered why people were okay with Superman resolving the final problem (in Superman the Movie) by flying really fast and turning back time....but weren't okay with Superman breaking Zod's neck, which made complete sense given the context of the story. Glad to see other people are on the same page.
Anyway, it is a good video and thanks for posting it, but if people didn't like MOS don't worry about it - if you enjoyed it, that's enough !
