I started a similar thread for cbms but it occurred to me that there are a lot better examples of great cameos out there in the wider cinematic world.

IMO a cameo is a short one-off appearance in a film ( as distinct from a small supporting role). If I'm wrong, I can live with that.

For me, my 2 favorite cameos both involve Christopher Walken

    1) Christopher Walken in Pulp Fiction as Captain Koons, who carried the watch....

    2) Christopher Walken in True Romance as Vincenzo Coccoti, who threatens Dennis Hopper....

Some other favorites of mine include:
    • Peter Stormare as Lucifer in Constantine (the best bit of the film really).

    • Bob Barker in Happy Gilmore

    • Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder...probably the funniest cameo of all time.
There are plenty more, but let's hear from somebody else !

Robert Patrick's cameo in Wayne's World was pretty great.

YEAH ! The timing on that one was perfect - as good as Charlton Heston's cameo in WW 2.

Not strictly film (tv) but the nod in the A-Team to Battlestar Galactica with the use of cylon when meeting Face was a very funny cameo / in joke.
